Review: Rehabiliation shower/commode chair

Product Information

Model: 6695
Manufacturer: Invacare

Reviewed by: Noreen Fertig from Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania

Why did you purchase the product?
My husband is a paraplegic. The chair makes showering possible and reduces transfers.

How well did the product meet your needs?
Design seems good but the materials are not holding up.

Are there specific features of the product that you liked?
The seat can be positioned in several orientations and the arms both flip out of the way - helpful when traveling. The unit folds up for travel.

Are there specific features of the product that you disliked?
The chair is rusting after only 18 months. The front wheels get hair wrapped around the axle which cannot be removed. We have replaced the front wheels once and are ready to do so again. A sturdier back rest should be designed.

Any other comments about the product's performance?
