Product Information

Manufacturer: EMPI

Why did you purchase the product?
Severed or crushed peroneal nerve after knee replacement. Resulting in dropped foot & nerve pain. Surgery in 1999.

How well did the product meet your needs?
Awesome! Wonderful for original use(still need it occasionally). Stops nerve/muscle spasms instantly. Pulsed (DC) side is what I use. Tens(AC} has no effect on this type of pain for me.

Are there specific features of the product that you liked?
Small size. Padded case makes it a doable travel companion. I Do Not travel without this unit. It has saved many a vacation, etc. It is immediately effective for dramatic pain relief. No brainer to use.

Are there specific features of the product that you disliked?
Gel electrodes! Hard to find, fairly expensive,no way to securely attach pads (straps, etc.) If problem area is extremity, you are not able to move around until treatment is over. Gel pads are messy, wish there was a better electrode pad. Theoretically you should be free to move around during treatment.

Any other comments about the product's performance?
Overall I could not live comfortably without this unit. I don't tolerate pain meds, & this has much longer lasting good effects. Just need a good source available for the proper DC electrodes. I need new ones now. The pads are good for approximately 20 to 25 full treatments if you take excellent care of them.
