Product Information

Manufacturer: Enhanced Vision

Reviewed by: G F Mueden from New York , New York

Why did you purchase the product?
To read newspapers and magazines, reports, and correspondence.

How well did the product meet your needs?
Not good for newspapers; better than a glass magnifier for magazines. Field too narrow for reports and correspondence without left/right movement.

Are there specific features of the product that you liked?
The remote control is convenient.

Are there specific features of the product that you disliked?
Contrast no better than the printing it sees. Users Guide not helpful in several ways. No brightness control. User provides the lighting and it is tricky. At minimum magnification, the field of view was less than the typing in a business letter. Circuitry is "always on" when plugged in; On/Off only controls the screen.

Any other comments about the product's performance?
This is a good product but "one size does not fit all users" because so much depends on the users' eyes. This product, and others like it, need to be tried by the user, where it is to be used. The selection is a very personal thing.
