  2. Arthritis Foundation
    The Arthritis Foundation is the only national not-for-profit organization that supports the more than 100 types of arthritis and related conditions with advocacy, programs, services and research. It also publishes a monthly publication, "Arthritis Today." There are other free resources on arthritis available through this web site. [More Information on Arthritis Foundation]

  3. Arthritis Today
    The bimonthly magazine from the Arthritis Foundation written for people who have arthritis and for those who care about someone who does. Current issue content is not available on-line, but by clicking on "Archive", you can browse through selected articles by selecting a year and an issue. [More Information on Arthritis Today]

  4. Center for Enhancing Activity and Participation among Persons with Arthritis (ENACT)
    ENACT is the Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on Arthritis. Based at Boston University, the center collaborates with The Arthritis Foundation's New England Chapter and students and researchers from Boston University's School of Medine, School of Public Health, and School of Communications to enhance lives of persons with arthritis and other rheumatic conditions through research, community education programs, and training.   5. Combined Health Information Database
    This on-line database lists a wealth of health promotion and education materials and program descriptions from all health-related agencies of the U.S. government, including the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It covers several disability topics including deafness and communication disorders, diabetes, eating disabilities and Alzheimer's disease. [More Information on Combined Health Information Database]

  6. Ease-of-Use Products (Arthritis Foundation)
    The Arthritis Foundation's Ease-of-Use Commendation recognizes products proven to make life easier for people who have arthritis and other physical limitations. Products are submitted by manufacturers for independent testing by experts at the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) and evaluated by people with arthritis.   7. MossRehab Hospital
    MossRehab is a hospital in the Philadelphia area offers comprehensive care to people with a broad range of conditions--including stroke, brain injury, orthopaedic and musculoskeletal disabilities, spinal cord dysfunction, pulmonary disorders, amputations, and other forms of disability.   1. May is National Arthritis Month
    May 07, 1999
    Do you, or does someone you know, have arthritis? According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, approximately 43 million people currently have arthritis, and that figure is expected to rise to 60 million people by the year 2020. May 18 has been designated as Arthritis Action Day by the Arthritis Foundation. [More Information on May is National Arthritis Month]
