National Resource Center on Supportive Housing and Home Modification

The Center's mission is to make supportive housing and home modification a more integral component of successful aging, long-term care, preventive health, and the development of elder-friendly communities. NRCSHHM supports service programs and housing settings that target semi-independent elderly who need assistance with daily activities, and encourages home modification to convert or adapt environments to make tasks easier, reduce accidents, and support independent living. To promote awareness of home modifications and fall prevention, it created two informational web sites, Homemods.org and Stopfalls.org.
