    Bolster Chairs, models B3 through B4CCS, are adjustable chairs with attached desks for children with neurological or severe physical disabilities up to 48 inches tall. The B3 Series is intended for children two to six years of age up to 42 inches tall. The B4 Series is designed for children five to eleven years old up to 48 inches tall. FEATURES: Models B3CCS and B4CCS have casters, an anterior support, and adjustable lateral supports. Models B3C and B4C have 4-inch swivel locking casters. Standard features on all models include a removable tray that latches in place and tilts for use as an easel; a nylon belt with buckle closure and fits through the slots in back for pelvic support; padded vinyl covered bolster seat with a firm hollow core; a wide base for increased stability; adjustable, removable lateral pelvic supports; adjustable, removable foot supports for controlling extension or flexion, and a removable back extension for additional trunk support. DIMENSIONS: The B3 series have overall desk dimensions of 23.5 x 25 inches with a cutout 12 inches wide and 11.5 inches deep (adjustable from 6 to 8.5 inches); the bolster seat itself is 15 (length) x 8 inches (diameter) and height adjustable (floor to top of seat) from 7 to 13 inches; back height is 7 inches above the seat (the back extension adds 8 inches); width between lateral pelvic supports adjusts from 4.5 to 6.5 inches.   2. CORNER CHAIR (MODELS C4, C4-C, C5 & C5-C)

    The Corner Chair is an adjustable corner seat designed for use by children with neurological, mobility, or severe physical disabilities. This chair provides support for asymetrical posture and midline control of the head and trunk. All models include a firm, padded insert which converts the V-shaped back to a three-section wing back. The seat can be raised so the child can be positioned with the hips and knees flexed or lowered so that the hips are flexed and the legs extended to facilitate long-leg sitting. Other features of this wooden chair include removable head supports; a removable tray that adjusts vertically and horizontally; and a removable, padded, adjustable abductor wedge; and a safety positioning belt. Models C4-C and C5-C also include locking swivel casters. The seat is padded vinyl. Models C4 and C4-C accommodate children from eight months to four years of age up to 39 inches tall. Models C5 and C5-C accommodates children from four to eight years of age up to 58 inches tall. DIMENSIONS: The sides of the C4 models are 20 inches high with the head supports. The head supports adjust vertically to 27 inches. Without the back insert, the seat depth to the back corner is 12 inches; with the insert, the depth is 8 inches. The tray is 15 x 17 inches. The abductor is 3 inches wide. The casters on the C4-C model are 4 inches in diameter. The sides of the C5 models are 29 inches high with the head support. The head supports adjust vertically to 41 inches. Without the back insert, the seat depth to the back corner is 14 inches; with the insert, the depth is 10.5 inches. The tray is 18 x 20 inches. The abductor is 4 inches wide. The casters on the C5-C model are 4 inches in diameter.

  3. DOODLEBUG INSERT (MODEL 1065)

    The Doodlebug Insert, model 1065, is a back support cushion designed for use with Kay Kinder Chairs (see separate entry, as well as other positioning chairs and high chairs. This terry cloth covered foam support also reduces the width and depth of the chair, enabling it to be used by smaller children. The cover can be unzipped and remove for washing.     The Gerry 2 Stage Toilet Seat is a child's toilet seat for children two to seven years old with physical, mobility, or neurological disabilities. This seat fits over a potty seat or a standard toilet and features leg supports with two large loop handles at the top for the child to hold for balance. The seat folds for transport or storage.     The Kaye Adjustable Benches are adjustable wooden chairs designed for use by children with lower extremity or neurological disabilities. These height-adjustable benches feature tilt capability and vinyl-covered padded seating surfaces. The benches are useful for learning to move from one level to another or for progressing from floor sitting to bench sitting or from side sitting to upright kneeling, or from sitting to standing. The benches can also be used for dressing or as tables in conjunction with therapy bolsters or balls. Models S3-A and S4-A fold for storage and transport. OPTIONS: A Kaye Posture System three-part pelvic support is available for models S1-A, S2-A, and S5-A. SIZES: Models S1-A and S3-A are small, model S2-A and S4-A are large, and model S5-A is extra large. DIMENSIONS: The small models are 10.5 x 26 inches and height adjustable from 7 to 11 inches.     The Kaye Anterior Forearm Support Walkers are walkers with platform arm supports designed for use by individuals with neuromuscular disabilities associated with severe spasticity, athetosis, or ataxia who lean on their forearms because they cannot grip adequately to propel their walkers. These walkers are particularly useful for individuals who have asymmetrical strength in their upper extremities as they can propel and steer a walker with only one hand. The user stands inside the walker's base of support which supplies a wide stable base and a chest cushion with adjustable angle allows the user to lean into solid support while maintaining alignment of the trunk and hips over the feet. This enables the user to lean forward without developing an atypical posture associated with flexion of the hips. These walkers are equipped with front swivel wheels that can be locked in the forward position, and the rear wheels are equipped with external ratchets to prevent the walker from rolling backward. The open back design facilitates transition form a wheel chair or other seat. With a wide range of adjustable features, thse walkers accommodate a large range of individuals and increase options for self-initiated mobility. These walkers fold for storage and transportation. OPTIONS: A detachable Walker Basket (YB) is available for all sizes and models.     The Kaye Anterior Support Walkers are custom perscription walkers designed for use by individuals with neuromuscular disabilities associated with severe spasticity, athetosis, or ataxia. These walkers are intended for individuals who can support their weight on their legs and take steps, but lack sufficient balance or upper body and shoulder control to maintain alignment and often needing to be aligned slightly forward of the base of support to facilitate stepping. The user stands inside the walker's base of support which supplies a wide stable base and a chest cushion with adjustable angle enables the user to lean into solid support while maintaining alignment of the trunk and hips over the feet. This allows the user to lean forward without developing an atypical posture associated with flexion of the hips. Attached to the chest cushion are adjustable, lateral supports which assist alignment in the frontal plane. These walkers are equipped with front swivel wheels that can be locked in the forward position, and the rear wheels are equipped with external ratchets to prevent the walker from rolling backward. The open back design facilitates an easy transition form a wheel chair or other seat.     The Kaye Balance Poles are a balance training device designed for use by children with walking, balance, or neurological disabilities.Model BP is a fixed-height straight pole with a handgrip. Model QP is a height-adjustable straight pole with a hadgrip set in a quad cane base with rubber-tipped feet. DIMENSIONS: Model BP is 46 inches long. Model BQ has a 5.5 x 8 inch base.

  9. KAYE KINDER CHAIRS (MODELS K1 & K2)

    The Kaye Kinder Chairs are positioning chairs designed for use by children with neurological or severe physical disabilities. These wooden chairs are designed for children between one and seven years of age up to 48 inches tall. Model K1 is a low chair designed to fit under preschool tables between 17 and 25 inches tall. Model K2 has long legs and is intended for use at standard 30-inch tables. Model K2 is suitable for children who have outgrown conventional highchairs, but still require that degree of support. Both chairs feature a firm vinyl-covered seat and back, a padded vinyl-covered abductor, seat belt, adjustabe back angle, adjustable seat depth, adjustable footrest height, and adjustable leg length. Model K1 also includes a wooden tray. OPTIONS: Caster base, footrest extension, pelvic-femoral stabilizer with knee pad, and a tray for model K2. DIMENSIONS: The seat depth adjusts from 7 to 12 inches, the seat width is 11 inches, and the back can be reclined 10 degrees from the seat. The footrest adjusts from 3 to 10.5 inches from the seat. The arm height from the seat is 5.25 inches from the seat. The back height is 13 inches from the seat. The legs on model K1 adjust from 14.5 to 22 inches from the floor to the top of the armrest. The legs on model K2 adjust from 26 to 28.5 inches from the floor to the top of the armrests. The tray is 19.75 inches deep x 25 inches wide with a 19.75 x 11 inch torso cutout. The distance from the front of the cutout to the back cushion is adjustable in one-inch increments from 5 to 10 inches.

  10. KAYE NEAT-SEAT

    The Kaye Neat-Seat is a youth positioning chair designed for use with children ages two to six years with mobility, neurological, or other physical disabilities. Useful for traveling therapists, wooden one-piece unit combines a table and positioning chair and folds flat without tools for storage and transport. This seat provides a firm seat, back, and footrest to maintain proper postural alignment, freeing the child's arms for skilled movement. The chair is particularly useful for children with low muscle tone and poor postural alignment who cannot use two hands for bilateral skilled movement. The footrest folds up and out of the way to enable older children to place their feet directly on the floor. DIMENSIONS (DxWxH): Folded the unit is 5 x 22 x 26.5 inches. The table is 24 inches wide x 8 inches deep. The seat height from the floor is 13.5 inches and the seat to table height is 7 inches. The back height above the seat is 7 inches.   11. KAYE PARTIAL WEIGHT-BEARING WALKING FRAME (MODEL SW1)

    The Kaye Partial Weight-Bearing Walking Frame, model SW1, is a child's walker or standing frame designed for use by children who have a wide range of disabilities due to neuropathy, including postural control, interlimb coordination, and steady state and reactive balance. The Kaye Walking Frame supports the user in the upright, walking, or partial weight-bearing position using a combination of an overhead suspension frame, a manual winch, a harness, removable handlebars, and swivel casters with directional locks and stationary brakes. The manual winch facilitates lifting the user between the sitting and walking positions. The adjustable, circumferential harness supports the user around the pelvis, trunk, and thighs; circumferential thigh straps help hold the harness in position. The handgrips provide a grasping point for additional stability. The casters can be locked in a stationary position for use with a treadmill, or can be unlocked and allowed to swivel for use over level ground. The Kaye Walking Frame is suited for small users. The frame adjusts both in width and height. At its narrowest width, it can pass through a 17 inch doorway. DIMENSIONS (HxW): 55 to 66 inches x 26.5 to 31 inches wide. CAPACITY: Maximum of 100 pounds. WEIGHT: 25 pounds.

  12. KAYE PLAY FRAME (MODEL RS1)

    The Kaye Play Frame, model RS1, is a suspension frame for toys designed to encourage reaching, batting and swiping skills for children with neurological, upper extremity, or severe physical disabilities. The height-adjustable aluminum frame enables the toys, hung from the included plastic flowers, to be moved farther from the child to encourage further skill development as skills improve. The base of the frame fits around Kaye corner chairs, bolsters, and prone positioners (see separate entries) and it is self-supporting, enabling the child to be placed inside the base on the floor or a mat in a prone or supine position. DIMENSIONS: The height is adjustable from 21.25 to 29.25 inches; the width between the legs is 21 inches; and the base length is 27 inches.

  13. KAYE POSTURE CONTROL WALKER & KAYE POSTUREREST WALKERS

    The Posture Control Walker is a child's walker designed for use by children 18 months of age through adolescence with mobility disabilities. Available in six sizes, these reverse walkers are designed to make walking less energy consuming and improve rhythm and timing. The walkers have folding anodized aluminum frames and most models are available with two wheeled front legs and two rear legs with crutch-style tips to create friction with the floor and slow walker speed, or with four wheels. The smaller walkers are available with a choice of a "B" or "J' frame style. The lighter weight J frame is available in the three smallest sizes only, is suitable for limited ambulation, and has two support bars behind the user. The B frame is slightly bulkier and heavier than the J frame to accommodate an older user and more vigorous ambulation; three support bars behind the user provide greater reinforcement. The H frame is designed for an older, taller, heavier user and is designed for use with four wheels. All styles provide support behind the child, requiring a more upright posture and placing the center of gravity within the walkers base of support. In all frame styles, the upper most bar strikes the hip extensors during single limb stance, facilitating extension on the weight-bearing side. The handgrips with flanged ends olace the child's arms and hands at his/her sides as he/she takes weight on the extended arms. The depth of the walkers prevent the hands from getting too far ahead of the body. As the child grows and develops, this configuration allows the elbows to be slightly behind the midline of the body, aiding thoracic extension and scapular adduction for straighter, more upright posture. The PostureRest Walker offers the same features as the Posture Control models plus a built-in seat that folds up when not in use. The PostureRest walker is available in most configurations. OPTIONS: Forearm supports, pelvic stabilizers, guide handles for small frame, all-terrain wheels, and leg extensions to convert to two-wheel, four-wheel, or four-wheel walkers with locking front swivel wheels. COLOR: The B and H frames have red handgrips and the J frame has blue grips. The smaller sizes are available with a choice of a blue or silver frame. The larger sizes and the H frame are available in silver only.

  14. KAYE QUAD CANES (MODELS QC20, QC25, & QC31)

    The Kaye Quad Canes are designed for use by children with walking or balance disabilities.These height adjustable canes have an offset base with rubber-tipped feet and rotating handles to accommodate varing degrees of suppination or pronation. DIMENSIONS: Model QC20 has a 6 3/8 x 4.5 inch base and the length adjusts from 15 to 20 inches. Model QC25 has a 5.5 x 8 inch base and the length adjusts from 17.5 to 24 inches. Model QC31 has a 5.5 x 8 inch base and the length adjusts from 21 to 31 inches.

  15. KAYE SCOOT ABOUT (MODEL SB1)

    The Kay Scoot About, model SB1, is a scooter board designed for use with children and adults with lower extremity or severe physical disabilities. This four-wheeled, height-adjustable device enables children and adults to sit on the seat and propel themselves with their feet and enabling them to work on heel strike and coordinated knee flexion and extension skills. These patterns, needed for ambulation, can be developed while seated in the absence of standing balance. The height-adjustable seat enables the user to be positioned with the appropriate of hip and knee flexion and movement. Standard features include a padded seat, padded handgrips. and four large swivel casters. DIMENSIONS: The seat is 16.5 x 12.5 inches and adjusts from 8.5 to 16.5 inches high. The handgrips are 5 inches above the seat. The casters are 5 inches in diameter. The unit is 24 inches wide.

  16. KAYE STRADDLE SEAT (MODEL SS1)

    The Kaye Straddle Seat, model SS1, is designed for use by children with neurological or lower extremity disabilities. These seats aid the child in learning to generate adequate force in the extensor muscles while maintaining weight bearing and alignment, skills needed for proper standing posture and gait. The front end of the seat can be angled downward, placing more of the child's weight on the feet. This seat also aids controlling adduction and assymetry of weight bearing of the lower extremities, while assisting in the development of forward weight shift, which is necessary to initiate rising from sitting. The adjustable height permits the amount of knee and hip flexion to be varied so that the child is required to initiate movement using varying degrees of flexion. This adjustable seat accommodates children two to seven years of age up to four feet tall and features a removable front handlebar, a contoured seat, and padded sides to cushion the knees. DIMENSIONS: The seat height adjusts from 12 to 21 inches above the floor in one-inch increments. The seat position adjusts from 4 to 9.5 inches from the front of the seat to the forward post. The contoured seat is 10 inches long x 5 inches wide. The hadlebar is 6.5 inches above the seat. The complete unit is 28.75 inches long including the base x 14.75 inches wide.

  17. KAYE SUPINE POSITIONER (MODEL SP2)

    The Kaye Supine Positioner, model SP2, is a body positioner designed for use with children with neurological, severe physical, or visual disabilities. This unit provides a structure to enable children from one to six years of age to experience visually-directed play in the supine position, encouraging reaching, postural stability of the head and shoulder girdle, visual convergence, visual scanning, and visual attention. The unit consists an adjustable washabel nylon hammock support for the head and shoulders and an easel tray with clamps to hold suspended toys or a mirror. The easel has an arched base to fit over the child's torso and it swings away for positioning and folds for storage. OPTIONS: Safety Mirror. DIMENSIONS (WxH): The easel is 24 x 20 inches. The distance from the head support adjusts to four positions in two-inch increments.

  18. KAYE T-SEATS (MODELS TS-S & TS-L)

    The Kaye T-Seats are adjustable wooden chairs designed for use by children with lower extremity or neurological disabilities. These height-adjustable benches are designed for use with Kaye T-Tables (see separate entry) feature tilt capability and vinyl-covered padded seating surfaces.     The Kaye T-Tables are tilt top tables designed for use with children with neurological or fine motor disabilities. Designed to be used in conjunction with Kaye Adjustable Benches, T-Seats, or Straddle Seats, these height-adjustable wooden tables have tilt tops equipped with tow large wooden clamps to properly psition books and papers and a removable wooden ledge to keep items from sliding off the table when tilted. The table top adjusts from horizontal to 90 degrees. Model TT-2 accommodates children's wheelchairs. SIZES: Model TT-1 is small and model TT-2 is large. DIMENSIONS: Model TT-1 has a 14.75 x 20.75 inch top and the height adjusts from 12 to 17 inches. The width under the table is 14.5 inches. Model TT-2 has a 20 x 29.5 inch top and the height adjusts from 17.75 to 25.5 inches. The width under the table is 21.75 inches.

  20. KAYE WALK-IN-PLACE

    The Kaye Walk-In-Place is a lower extemity exercise machine designed for use by children from two to twelve years of age with lower extremity, walking, or neurological disabilities. This unit can be used for fitness and conditioning, as well as for development of ambulation and post-operative strengthening. The device requires the user to stand upright and to bear weight and uses the pattern of walking for exercise. Reciprocally-lonked footplates to assist weight shift onto the weight-bearing limb. The unit also encourages loading the stance limb in a plantigrade posture to provide ankle and foot stability. Variable step height allows smooth concentric and eccentr4ic hip and knee flexion in the functional reciprocal synergy for swing phrase. The unit also features a variable resistance cross-linked hydraulic system to assist in developing strength and endurance. The unit folds for transport and storage and features height-adjustable handgrips and a removable pelvic strap for positioning. OPTIONS: A pelvic support unit that attaches to the handgrip poles. DIMENSIONS: The handgrips adjust from 18.5 to 32.25 inches above the lowest footplate position. The step height varies from 0 to 8 inches. CAPACITY: 125 pounds.

    The KAYE Wide Posture Control Walker is a child's adjustable walker designed for use by children who wear hip-knee-ankle-foot orthoses and require additional width and deph inside the walker frame. The walkers are available with 2 wheels (models R2B, R3B, and R4B), 4 fixed wheels (models R2BF, R3BR,and R4BR), and 4 wheels with front swivel wheels (models R2BS, R3BS, and R4BS). The walkers fold for transportation. OPTIONS: Options include one-way roller-bearing wheels, forearm supports, a pelvic stabilizer, extensor assist pads, and all terrain wheels. SIZES: Available in three sizes, designated by the 2, 3, or 4 in the model number. Useful for children who are just beginning to pull to stand or move in a standing position, but who do not have the balance or endurance to do so independently, the removable, aluminum bars may be used to gain arm extension with abduction and grasp in learning to get up and down from sitting to standing, and to develop weight shifting in preparation for standing and walking. A therapy bench (not included) can be placed on the base behind the poles for practice in moving from sitting to standing.The base is padded and covered with vinyl.   24. PRE-SCHOOL PRONE STANDER (MODEL 106) & CHILD'S PRONE STANDER (MODEL 104)

    The Pre-School Prone Stander, model 106, and the Child's Prone Stander, model 104, are prone boards with casters designed for use by children with neurological or balance disabilities. These standers are designed to be supported against a sturdy table or counter. The units are adjustable to vary the angle from horizontal and adjustable table/counter rests allow positioning at different distances supporting surfaces. The units latch to the supporting surface with cord, hook, and eye screws for safety. Other features of these wooden frames include non-tip bases, adjustable footplate, foot straps, foot wedges, knee pads (one on model 106 and two on model 104) , lateral pads, and two safety belts. The fully-adjustable footrest accommodates variable degrees of dorsiflexion or plantar flexion of the ankles. Shoe clamps secure hard-soled shoes and the angle of the clamps controls internal or external rotation of the hips, as well as hip abduction. The foot wedges position pronation or supination of the hips. Model 106 accommodates children from15 months to eight years of age (24 to 49 inches tall) and model 104 accommodates children from 18 month to 11 years of age (26 to 58 inches tall). OPTIONS: Adjustable abductor wedge, lateral knee supports, and a conversion kit for a solid pelvic stabilizer. DIMENSIONS: Model 106 can be used at tables from 17 to 30 inches high. The removable lateral trunk supports adjust to fit 6 to 8 inch chests. The main chest cushion is 7.5 inches wide x 13 inches long. The lower cushion is 14 inches wide x 5 inches high. Model 104 extends from 24 to 36 inches high for use at higher tables and counters. The removable lateral trunk support adjusts to fit 7 to 10 inch chests.   25. PRONE STANDERS WITH DESK (MODELS 102, 103, & 107)

    The Prone Standers with Desk, models 102, 103 and 107, are designed for use by children and adults with mobility and neurological disabilities. Models 102 and 103 are designed for children 18 months to 11 years of age, up to 58 inches tall; Model 107 is designed for users from years of age to adult, or from 48 to 71 inches tall. FRAME: Wooden with an extended base for near vertical positioning, adjustable angle varies 40 to 80 degrees from horizontal. The base has 4-inch swivel locking casters (optional on model 103; standard on model 107) that can be narrowed to fit doorways, then widened for stability. FEATURES: Removable, padded side trunk supports that adjust vertically and laterally; a tray that tilts from vertical to horizontal and has a rail to prevents objects from falling; two lower pads for placement above and below the knees; adjustable footrests to accommodate dorsiflexion or plantar flexion of the ankles; adjustable angle shoe clamps to fit hard soled shoes for controlling internal or external rotation of hips; and two safety belts. OPTIONS: Abductor wedge (with 4 x 7 inch or 7 x 10 inch pads) has independent width and angle adjustments. DIMENSIONS: For both models, stander length is adjustable without altering the footrest position and width is adjustable from 4 to 6 inches or 4 to 7 inches; tray is 20 x 22 inches; hip belts are 4 x 54 inches, and either 2 x 54 inches or 4 x 65 inches; and the caster base is 29.5 x 54 inches;

  26. TEN COUNTER (MODEL 3101)

    The Ten Counter, model 3101, is an educational toy designed for use by children with fine motor and cognitive disabilities. This manipulative toy consists of a wooden base with 10 arches, each holding from one to 10 flat beads. The number of beads on the arch corresponds to the printed numeral and the number of objects pictured at the bottom of the arch.

  27. THERAPY BOLSTERS AND STANDS (MODELS CB13 TO CB16 & CB20)

    The Therapy Bolsters and Stands are cylindrical therapy rolls for development of balance reactions, postural alignment and trunk rotation with individuals with neurological or balance disabilities. The bolsters are made of washable vinyl covered foam wrapped around a firm core. Carrying straps are attached to each end. The bolster stands are made of wood. DIMENSIONS (Diam x L): Model CB13 is 4 x 25 inches, model CB14 is 6.5 x 40 inches, model CB15 is 8.5 x 43 inches, and model CB16 is 10 x 50 inches. The stands are 12.5 inches long x 7 inches wide, and are adjustable to elevate the bolsters 5.25 to 11.25 inches from the floor for use as bolster seats.

  28. THERAPY MATS (MODELS 804YB, 805YB, & 806YB)

    Therapy Mats are folding mats for activities requiring a firm, cushioned surface. The mats are made of plastic foam covered with non-absorbent, washable nylon- reinforced vinyl. Wide Velcro strips are attached to the ends for joining two or more mats together. DIMENSIONS: Model 804YB is 4 x 8 feet, model 805YB is 5 x 10 feet, and model 806YB is 6 x 12 feet. The mats fold in 2-foot panels for transport and storage.

  29. TOILET TRAINER (MODEL T2)

    The Toilet Trainer, model T2, is an adjustable child commode designed for children two to seven years old, or up to 48 inches tall with hip width up to 9.75 inches with neurological or severe physical disabilities. The chair has a 3-position molded plastic seat with a removable deflector on a wooden base and padded, vinyl-covered lateral and anterior trunk supports. The chair also has an attached height-adjustable tray that tilts forward for positioning and locks in place. The unit can be emptied from above or behind. Other features include a safety belt with buckle closure and an adjustable footstop that prevents leg extension. DIMENSIONS: Tray is 20 x 12 inches and height adjustable from 12 to 17 inches from the floor. The seat is adjustable to 6.75 or 8.5 inches from the floor. The seat base is 20 x 25 inches. The safety belt is 2 inches wide.

  30. TOILET TRAINER (MODEL T3)

    The Toilet Trainer, model T3, is an adjustable child's toilet seat designed for children from two to eleven years old with mobility or neurological disabilities. The seat has an adjustable tubular aluminum frame that can be used over standard or elongated toilets. The seat also features lateral and anterior trunk supports, a swing-away anterior chest cushion that locks with a safety latch for access and positioning, and a height-adjustable footrest. OPTIONS: Extension legs to accommodate higher toilets. DIMENSIONS: The lateral supports adjust from 6.25 to 8.5 inches. The height of the anterior and back cushions adjusts from 4.5 to 10.5 inches from the toilet seat. The distance from the anterior cushion to the back cushion adjusts 11 inches. The distance of the footrest from the toilet seat can be set at 7.5 to 10.5 inches.

  31. TOOTHBRUSH TRAINER SET

    The Toothbrush Trainer Set is a three-piece toothbrush set designed for us with children with neurological, emotional, or severe physical disabilities. One brush head has standard soft bristles, and two brushes are made of flexible rubber for children who tend to bite if a bristle brush is placed in the mouth. The set can be used to stimulate the gums, palate, and teeth of children with severe oral problems without producing adverse reactions.

  32. VERTICAL STANDER

    The Vertical Stander is a prone standing frame for children from 18 months through 12 years who need support at the hips and pelvis to maintain standing alignment. FEATURES: The frame has a solid pelvic stabilizer for anterior, posterior and lateral positioning; a removable lower cushion for knee extension; removable adjustable foot supports for additional alignment of feet and ankles; a posterior pelvic pad that swings away and locks in place with a safety latch; removable lateral cushions; and a removable thoracic support. The posterior pelvic pad is positioned lower than the anterior cushion for vertical posture with pressure against the anterior iliac crests and sacrum. The fully extended base can be used for free standing, or the front extensions on the base can be retracted to form a smaller base for tilting the unit against a stable counter.   14. PEDALO SYSTEM (MODELS PD-4, PD-2, & PD-1)

    The Pedalo System is a balance training device designed for use by children and adults with neurological or lower extremity disabilities. These six-wheeled devices utilize a split base and axle to utilize a walking motion to propel them. Shifting weight from side to side and front to back move the devices forward and backward. The Barren-Pedalo, model PD-4, features removable horizontal parallel bars, making this model suitable for children who can stand but not walk unassisted and use their arms for support and balance. The Reha-Pedalo, model PD-2, is equipped with removable parallel upright poles and requires better lower extremity control than model PD-4. This model is most suitable for children who use canes or crutches or who walk independently. The poles are designed for balance assistance, but not for weight bearing. Weight shift must be initiated through the lower extremities. Models PD-4 and PD-2 are long enough for an adult to stand behind the user to aid with weight shift and coordination. The Double-Pedalo is a smaller model and is long enough for one foot to fit on each side. This model can be used with Kaye Balance Poles (sold separately; see entry). DIMENSIONS: Models PD-4 and PD-2 are 5.75 inches wide x 43.5 inches long on each side and 16.75 wide overall.     Rody and Rocking Rody are balance training devices designed for use with children with physical or neurological disabilities. Rody is made of vinyl and is shaped like a horse without legs.   20. SHAPE 'N COLOR COASTER SHAPE AND COLOR SORTER

  23. SUCTION ARCH & SUCTION MOUNTAIN

    The Suction Arch and Suction Mountain are eye-hand coordination activities designed to stimulate visual tracking by the identification of shapes and colors as beads are moved along wire maze tracks. The Suction Arch is a twisting, structured maze featuring two wire tracks for children to direct the multi-colored round beads over, one in the shape of an arch and the other fashioned like a loose spring. Suction Mountain has two large vertical twisting tracks. Both models feature a wooden base with suction cups at each corner to keep the device in place during use. These devices can also be used to teach cause and effect.

  24. TFH SWING SEATS

    The TFH Swing Seats are swing accesories for children or adults with physical or neurological disabilities. These swing seats are designed of high density polyehtylene plastic with a pommel, four straps, and a shoulder harness with snap buckles. The straps are adjustable, as is the rake of the seat. OPTIONS: Child seat liner, leg supports, head supports for the child and teenage models, waterproof seat covers, sun shade and replacement ropes. SIZES: Child, Teenage, and Adult.
