  8. POWER KNEE Picture of POWER KNEE

The Power Knee is a powered bionic knee prosthesis designed for use by individuals with above-knee amputation. This bionic knee replaces concentric muscle activity of the quadriceps to bend and straighten the knee. Working as an integrated extension of its user, it synchronizes motion with that of the sound leg. When walking on level ground, the user is gently propelled forward, allowing greater distances to be covered without tiring, while pelvic rotation is enhanced for a more natural gait. On stairs and inclines the knee actively lifts the user up the next step, producing a more secure and natural ascent, foot over foot. The prosthesis lifts the user when standing from a seated position. On level ground and changing terrain, the prosthesis actively lifts the heel off the ground, producing sufficient toe clearance during swing to prevent stumbling and improves user safety.

  9. PROPRIO FOOT Picture of PROPRIO FOOT

The Proprio Foot is a bionic prosthetic foot designed for use by individuals with lower extremity amputation. This intelligent foot module for transtibial amputees provides a more balanced and symmetric gait as it responds to changing terrain, stairs, and slopes with automatic ankle flexion. Accelerometer technology tracks the path of the ankle through space, timing gait characteristics and events, including heel strike and toe off. For each stride, the device constructs its path by continuously analyzing horizontal and vertical movement, tracing the foot as it moves through space. This trace varies according to the terrain so gait pattern recognition algorithms in the foot can detect and identify when a user is walking on flat or sloped surfaces and up or down stairs, as well as when stationary or in a relaxed position (seated). The foot is for low and moderate impact use by individuals who weigh from 45 to 116 kilograms. Seven categories are available (Category 1 through Category 7) for individuals based on their weight and whether the foot will receive low or moderate impact use. DIMENSIONS: 25 to 30 centimeters long. WEIGHT: 1,240 grams (size 27, Category 5).

  10. RHEO KNEE Picture of RHEO KNEE

The Rheo Knee is a knee prosthesis designed for use by individuals with lower extremity amputation. This knee has a microprocessor-controlled swing and stance for natural and efficient motion. High speed load cells accumulate information through the gait cycle, and this information is combined with data from the angle sensor to build up a profile of the user’s gait. Data from the sensors is received continually by a Dynamic Learning Matrix Algorithm (DLMA), which matches the live data input to stored memory of the user’s gait, analyzes changes, and instantly adapts the settings. A magnetorheological (MR) actuator changes resistance to allow for initiation of knee flexion. Through drag reduction, the prosthesis allows for more rapid foot-off velocity during pre-swing, so the pelvis remains in a more normal position for natural motion and improved walking efficiency. The unit has an aluminum frame and allows 120 degrees of knee flexion. WEIGHT: 1630 grams. WARRANTY: 36 month limited warranty, includes servicing at 15 and 30 months. CAPACITY: 220 pounds maximum.
