    The Audible Battery Tester (Model ABT2) is a hand-held button battery tester that will test AAA, AA, C, D, N, 9 volt and button cell batteries by emitting a strong buzz when the battery is good, a weaker buzz when marginal and should not be used for recording, and no sound when discharged. The unit also has a visual meter display with a green, red, and yellow zone.

    A 2 Z Key Search is a voice output alphabet game program designed for use by children who are blind or have low vision. This keyboard game program helps beginners become familiar with the computer keyboard while they play alphabet games. The game program comes on a CD-ROM and consists of speaking WAV files.     The Brown Leather Organizer, model 432472 , is a wallet designed with many compartments for use by individuals with visual disabilities. This leather wallet is Velcro-fastened and suitable for both men and women. Inside are 3 coin compartments, four paper money compartments with pull tabs, and a suede zippered compartment. The opposite side features 10 credit card slots and a large card/checkbook pocket underneath. DIMENSIONS: 8 x 4 inches when closed.

    The Digital Talking Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer is an electronic thermometer designed for use by persons who are blind or have low vision. The unit can sit on a table or be mounted to a wall. It has two large liquid crystal displays (LCD), and reads indoor and outdoor temperatures in a true human voice when a button is pressed. It can be preset to read temperatures at a fixed time or hourly, or to give alerts for high temperatures and freezing temperatures. It also can provide the daily high and low temperatures or the high and low temperatures for a specified period of time. Temperature can be expressed in Fahrenheit or Celsius. POWER: Uses two triple-A batteries. DIMENSIONS (HxDxW): 6 x 0.5 x 3.5 inches. The probe for outdoor temperatures is 9 feet long. WARRANTY: One year.

    The Eye Drop Guide is a liquid medication guide designed to enable individuals who are blind or have low vision to self-administer eye drops. The user places the guide around the eye drop bottle, then holds the guide against the eye for perfect alignment. The guide is made of soft plastic and conforms to the contours of the face.

This mercury-free thermostat controls both heating and air-conditioning in one unit. Its large, easy-to-see numbers are tactually raised, and the thermostat clicks at every 2-degree setting change from 40 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit. DIMENSIONS: 4 inches in diameter and 1.75 inches deep. Numbers are 0.38 inches high.

    The Ibill Talking Banknote Identifier is a voice output and vibrating paper money identifier designed for use by individuals who are blind or deaf blind or who have low vision. This device recognizes all U.S. bills in circulation with 99.9 percent accuracy. A female voice announces currency denominations in three different volumes. The device can also be set to deliver a pattern of beeps or vibration feedback to let hard of hearing users know what currency he or she is holding. Other features include instantaneous response, two-button operation, ergonomic, and a user-friendly design that can be attached to a key-ring or lanyard. The reader also can recognize torn or badly defaced bills. A large print and audio manual are included. DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): 0.7 x 3.0 x 1.5 inches. POWER: Requires one AAA battery (included).     Megaword is a Braille crossword board game designed for use by players who are blind or have low vision. It is similar to Scrabble, and features large, bold print letters on a white game board with a Brailled overlay. Recessed squares hold the playing pieces.     Mobius Mountain is a voice output math skills game program designed to teach math skills to students who are blind or have low vision. Up to four players can compete or an individual can play against the computer alone in a race up a mountain. Along the way are caves, animals, steps, and dangerous pits. To get up the mountain, players answer math problems, which range from easy to difficult depending on the skill level selected by the players.     The Odyssey III Talking Globe is an interactive educational toy designed for teaching geography to children with learning disabilities or low vision. The globe may also be adapted for the use of blind children by applying tactile markers such as High Marks, high dots, or Wikki Stix (see separate entries). When a spot on the Odyssey III globe is touched with a special pen that comes with the globe, a clear synthesized voice speaks the name of the city, state, country or ocean that has been touched. Moving a knob on the globe's base produces additional geographical information in 16 categories, including population, area, national capital, national anthem, popular songs, cultural characteristics, history, topography, climate, currency, and time zone. Up to four players can play two interactive games at three skill levels. POWER: Uses four C batteries or an alternating current (AC) adapter. DIMENSIONS: 10 inches in diameter.

This four track cassette training tape provides an introduction to computers written from the perspective of a blind computer user. It discusses the process of buying a computer and how to decide what computer to buy. It defines computer-related terms and briefly discusses and demonstrates how blind people use computers to write, use the Internet, read print, and perform other tasks.

  12. TOP REAL INTERNET EXPLORER 5.0

    Top Real Internet Explorer 5.0, by Dean Martineau, is an audio cassette computer training program designed for individuals who are blind. This four track cassette tape is a tutorial on the web browser Internet Explorer 5.0, written from the viewpoint of a blind computer user. It teaches users how to browse the Internet using Internet Explorer 5.0 together with various screen reader programs. Other topics include using programs to listen to radio and audio files over the Internet.

  13. TOP WIN 95 BASICS & TOP WIN 98 BASICS

    Top Win 95 Basics and Top Win 98 Basics, by Dean Martineau, are audio cassette computer training programs designed for individuals who are blind. These four track cassette tutorials assume no computer knowledge and teach Windows 95 and Windows 98 from the viewpoint of a user of speech output. Topics include navigating the desktop and the Start menu, other menus, dialog boxes, text editing, Windows Explorer, find, creating and using shortcuts, the control panel, and the registry.

  14. TOP WORD 8.0

    Top Word 8.0, by Dean Martineau, is an audio cassette computer training program designed for individuals who are blind. This four track cassette tape is a tutoral on Microsoft Word for Office 97, and teaches all aspects of word processing. This four track cassette tutorial comes with a supplemental disk that includes exercises to do in conjunction with the tutorial, along with additional information.

  15. TREK 2000

    Trek 2000 is a voice output game program designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. In this computer game, the player commands four Federation starships, and must defeat an alliance between the Klingons, the Romulans, and the Tholians.
