The Siris 2 1/2 Buddy Ring Splint is a ring splint designed for use by individuals with arthritis, post-polio syndrome, hypermobile joints, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, and other injuries or disabilities of the fingers. Made of sterling silver, these double-loop splints are designed to link a finger with metacarpal phalangeal (MCP) deviation to a neighboring stable finger to prevent drifting. The two rings are joined by a half ring to align crossed fingers or that have an extension lag. OPTIONS: Fourteen karat gold. SIZES: Based on ring size. A measuring kit and round and oval ring sizers are available. DIMENSIONS: Choice of 3 millimeters (mm) or 4 mm wide bands.

  2. SIRIS BOUTONNIERE LATERAL SUPPORT SPLINT Picture of SIRIS BOUTONNIERE LATERAL SUPPORT SPLINT

The Siris Boutonniere Lateral Support Splint is a finger extension splint designed for use by individuals with arthritis, hypermobile joints, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, and other injuries or disabilities of the fingers. Made of sterling silver, these double-loop elliptically-shaped splints are designed to provide extension mobilization and correct lateral deviation. The lateral support, which is the fulcrum point of the splint, is placed on the side opposite the direction the finger is deviating. If the finger is bilaterally unstable, the splint is available with support on both sides. This splint is available in regular or extra-strength models. OPTIONS: Fourteen karat gold or custom size or domed spacer. SIZES: Based on ring size. A measuring kit and round and oval ring sizers are available.

  3. SIRIS BOUTONNIERE SPLINT Picture of SIRIS BOUTONNIERE SPLINT

The Siris Boutonniere Splint is a finger extension splint designed for use by individuals with arthritis, hypermobile joints, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, and other injuries or disabilities of the fingers. Made of sterling silver, these double-loop elliptically-shaped splints are designed for use with severe hyperextension (greater than 20 degrees) of the proximal interphalangeal (PIP) joint or distal interphalangeal (DIP) joint or when subluxation of the joint occurs. Worn on the finger or the thumb, this splint blocks hyperextension without limiting the joint's full range of motion. The splint is worn with oval spacer under the joint to block hyperextension while allowing full flexion. This positions the two elliptical rings farther from the joint for better leverage at a more comfortable angle. Available in regular, extra-width, and extra-strength models, these splints can be adjusted by the wearer to accommodate swelling and delay in initiating finger flexion. This splint can also be used to correct reducible boutonniere or mallet finger deformities or mild to moderate non-reducible flexion. The splint can be adjusted by the wearer for comfort. OPTIONS: Fourteen karat gold, custom size or domed spacer, and a combination Siris Swan Neck and Siris Boutonniere (see also separate entry) splint for both joints on the same finger. SIZES: Based on ring size. A measuring kit and round and oval ring sizers are available.

  4. SIRIS LATERAL SUPPORT SPLINT Picture of SIRIS LATERAL SUPPORT SPLINT

The Siris Lateral Support Splint is a finger extension splint designed for use by individuals with arthritis, hypermobile joints, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, and other injuries or disabilities of the fingers. Made of sterling silver, these double-loop elliptically-shaped splints are designed to correct lateral deviation and block hyper extension of the joint, while allowing full flexion. The lateral support, which is the fulcrum point of the splintis always placed on the side opposite the finger is deviating. For example, if there is ulnar deviation, the splint should provide support on the radial side. If the finger is bilaterally unstable, the splint can be ordered with support on both sides. If additional leverage is required, an optional distal extension can be added to the same side that the finger is deviating. Available in regular, extra-width, and extra-strength models, these splints can be worn on any of the interphalangeal (IP) joints of the hand. OPTIONS: Fourteen karat gold. SIZES: Based on ring size. A measuring kit and round and oval ring sizers are available.

  5. SIRIS PULLEY RING SPLINT Picture of SIRIS PULLEY RING SPLINT

The Siris Pulley Ring Splint is a ring splint designed for use by individuals with arthritis, hypermobile joints, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, and other injuries or disabilities of the fingers. Made of sterling silver, this ring manages bowstringing at the A-2 pulley. OPTIONS: Fourteen karat gold. SIZES: Based on ring size. A measuring kit and round and oval ring sizers are available. DIMENSIONS: Choice of 6 millimeters (mm) or 10 mm wide bands. To determine ring width, measure proximal to the PIP volar crease to prevent restriction of flexion.

  6. SIRIS REALIGNMENT SPLINT Picture of SIRIS REALIGNMENT SPLINT

The Siris Realignment Splint is a finger flexion splint designed for use by individuals with arthritis, hypermobile joints, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, and other injuries or disabilities of the fingers. Made of sterling silver, these double-loop elliptically-shaped splints are designed to correct lateral deviation, flexion reducible to neutral, or enlarged or fusiform-shaped PIP joints. Available in regular, extra-width, and extra-strength models, these splints can be adjusted by the wearer to allow more flexion or extension. This splint offers the greatest leverage among the Siris splints when the spacer is worn on the side of the joint to correct deviation, but should be used only when the finger has 45 degrees or less of active flexion OPTIONS: Fourteen karat gold or custom sized or dome spacer. SIZES: Based on ring size. A measuring kit and round and oval ring sizers are available.

  7. SIRIS SPIRAL SPLINT Picture of SIRIS SPIRAL SPLINT

The Siris Spiral Splint is a thumb splint designed for use by individuals with arthritis, hypermobile joints, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, and other injuries or disabilities of the fingers. Made of sterling silver and available in regular or extra-strength models, this splint is designed for use with lateral instability and hyperextension of the interphalangeal (IP) joint of the thumb. The splint allows full flexion and the spirals can be loosened or tightened, spread apart or compressed to change the length, and the entire splint can be bent to change the angle at which the joint is held. OPTIONS: Fourteen karat gold. SIZES: Based on ring size. A measuring kit and round and oval ring sizers are available.

  8. SIRIS STANDARD BUDDY RING SPLINT Picture of SIRIS STANDARD BUDDY RING SPLINT

The Siris Standard Buddy Ring Splint is a ring splint designed for use by individuals with arthritis, hypermobile joints, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, and other injuries or disabilities of the fingers. Made of sterling silver, these double-loop splints are designed to link a finger with metacarpal phalangeal (MCP) deviation to a neighboring stable finger to prevent drifting. Available with no offset to position rings side by side and provide slight abduction, or with full offset to position one ring distal to the other to assist with finger adduction, the rings are available as plain bands or with patterned bands. OPTIONS: Fourteen karat gold. SIZES: Based on ring size. A measuring kit and round and oval ring sizers are available. DIMENSIONS: The standard plain band is 3 millimeters (mm) wide; the plain bands are also available in 4, 6, or 10 millimeters. The patterned bands are available in 4 mm or 7.5 mm wide.

  9. SIRIS SWAN NECK SPLINT Picture of SIRIS SWAN NECK SPLINT

The Siris Swan Neck Splint is a finger extension splint designed for use by individuals with arthritis, hypermobile joints, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, and other injuries or disabilities of the fingers. Made of sterling silver, these double-loop elliptically-shaped splints are designed for use with mild to moderate hyperextension (less than 20 degrees) of the proximal interphalangeal (PIP) joint or distal interphalangeal (DIP) joint. Worn on the finger or the thumb, this splint blocks hyperextension without limiting the joint's full range of motion. Both the proximal and distal portions of the splint are individually sized and eliptically shaped for an exact fit. Available in regular, extra-width, and extra-strength models, these splints can be adjusted by the wearer to accommodate swelling and delay in initiating finger flexion. OPTIONS: Fourteen karat gold and a combination Siris Swan Neck and Siris Boutonniere (see also separate entry) splint for both joints on the same finger. SIZES: Based on ring size.
