101 ANIMATIONS
101 Animations is a cause and effect training program designed for use with children with cognitive and upper extremity disabilities. This simple activity causes a loud, large animation (non-age-specific cartoon) on the computer screen with every switch activation. This program includes 101 animations. This program can be accessed with Mouseclick (see separate entry), a touch screen, a single switch, or the standard keyboard space bar. 2+2 is a math skills training system designed for use with children with low vision or cognitive disabilities. This program focuses on early arithmetic problems and uses an errorless learning method. The program features both drill and test modes and are designed to enable the instructor to enter vertical or horizontal problems for drilling and testing. This program can be accessed using the standard keyboard, IntelliKeys (not included; see separate entry), or a single switch (not included). COMPATIBILITY: Versions are available for use on Macintosh computers or on IBM and compatible computers equipped with Windows.

APPLICATION CLICKER (MODELS SM-32, SM-32R, SW-32, & SW-32R)
Application Clicker is a cause and effect lesson authoring program designed for use in creating learning activites for children with cognitive or severe physical disabilities. This program can be used for making cause/effect activities from websites, DVDs, videos, or music. The program opens a window on the left of a screen on which the target is open. The user then positions the cursor over the desired target and presses S to start the counter. The program clicks on the Play link, which changes to a Stop link, and displays and counts down the number of seconds selected by the user. It then clicks on the Stop link, producing the cause/effect activity. The learner clicks to resume the activity. The program also works in Windows Media Player, QuickTime Player, iTunes, or any site that has continuous feedback. The program can be copied onto a flash drive and run from there, allowing it to be used on multiple computers. The software is available on CD (models SM-32 or SW-32) or in a downloadable version that can be tried up to 7 times as a demo, then becomes permanently operable with purchase of a registration code (models SM-32R or SW-32R). The Beeper Box, model H-12, is a switch assessment system designed for use in testing control switches. This unit has two switch inputs that accept any switch with a standard 0.125-inch plug. The interface beeps when activated. Switches can be plugged in for testing or to produce morse code. Using two switches for morse code gives beeps of different pitch and volume. The BIG Baby Button is a switch interface designed for use by babies and children with fine motor and upper extremity disabilities. This large button-style switch has a built-in switch interface to enable use of a computer with the switch. The large switch surface requires only a light touch for activation. BIG BUTTON IPOD REMOTE (MODEL H-13)
The Big Button iPod Remote, model H-13, is a large button remote control for an Apple iPod player designed for use by individuals with fine motor disabilities. This infra-red (IR) remote is available in two versions. One includes a dock in which the iPod is inserted; and the other use a small IR receiver that does not block the earphone jack. The IR receiver can also be used to connect the remote to the iPod Nano as well as iPhones and iPads. The remote's buttons are raised and slightly convex, and each button is a different color. The unit's entire face is angled at about 20 degrees. The unit has switch inputs on the rear for performing any of the button functions. The remote unit comes with a receiver unit that attaches to the bottom of the iPod. OPTIONS: Stand/speaker; Labtec PureFi iPod speaker. DIMENSIONS (HxDxW): 2 x 5 x 8 inches. BIGGY
Biggy is a cursor control interface designed to enlarge cursors on the computer screen for people with visual or cognitive disabilities. This program offers a variety of large cursor alternatives, some with animation, that are at least twice the size of the standard cursor. The program also offers replacements for the I-beam cursor and the wait cursor (the watch on Macintosh computers and the hourglass in Windows). Both versions also have an option that automatically "snaps" the cursor to the "OK" or default button in dialogue boxes, as well as the option of having the pointer wrap around the screen rather than stopping at the edge. The Windows versions also include KeyMouse which enables all mouse movement and button functions to be controlled using the numeric keypad on a standard keyboard or using Intellikeys (see separate entry), and an option which enables the window sizing arrows to be enlarged. The Windows 95/98 version also enables the user to thicken all borders to make grabbing the edge of a window easier. The Macintosh version can double the size of all other cursors. This utility program works within any software program. DIMENSIONS: In all versions, the Biggy cursors are 32 x 32 pixels rather than the standard 16 x 16 pixels; the Macintosh version can enlarge the cursor to 32 x 64 pixels. OPTIONS: A trimmed down version called Biggy-Light is available only through the manufacturer web site or in quantities of 10 or more. Braille & Tactile Overlays for Intellikeys, model H-38, are braille keytop overlays designed to enable children who are blind to access Intellikeys (not included; see entry). The set includes two sets of the six standard Intellikeys overlays in tactile format, with one set in Grade One Braille and one set in raised large print. Each overlay is bar coded for communication with Intellikeys, so no additional sending software is required.

CHILDREN'S SWITCH PROGRESSIONS
Children's Switch Progressions (formerly R.J.'s Switch Progressions) is a control switch training program designed for use by children with upper extremity and cognitive disabilities. This program offers seven activities for training in the use of single switches (or a touch screen). The activities progress from requiring that a switch be activated randomly to requiring that the switch be activated at specifically timed intervals. Skills developed include understanding cause/effect and attending to an extended task (levels 0 and 1), following directions (level 2), and responding to visual prompts (level 3). Each activity can be conducted at any of the three levels. Other adjustable parameters include reaction speed, penalty for inattention or inappropriate switch activation, length of reinforcement, release (reinforcement upon switch hit or release), and auditory feedback as optional reinforcement. This program can be accessed with a switch, the keyboard spacebar, a touch screen, or MouseClick (see separate entry). The graphics are age appropriate and the program enable the user to record music for use with the program. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible computers or Apple Macintosh computers.

CHINCHEEKA DUAL SWITCH (MODEL H-51)
The ChinCheeka Dual Switch, model H-51, is a chin or cheek switch designed for use by individuals with severe physical disabilities, spinal cord injury, or cerebral palsy. This two-switch unit can be used for step-scanning/ control on a computer or for switch-adapted items that require two switches. In step-scanning, one switch is used to step (move) through choices, and the other to select a choice. OPTIONS: Magic Arm, Mini-Arm, or Articulating Arm for mounting.

CORDLESS SWITCH INTERFACE (MODEL H-53-USB)
The Cordless Switch Interface, model H-53-USB, is a computer switch interface and mouse emulator designed for use by individuals with fine motor, neurological, or upper extremity disabilities. This unit provides a place to plug switches into a computer without having to connect a cable to the computer. This unit can also be used as a presentation mouse. It has two switch inputs. When switches are plugged into the jacks, they function as standard mouse-clicks (left or right in Windows; left or control-click for Macintosh), and with installation of the accompanying SwitchHopper for Windows (SAM-X for Mac OS X) software, each button can be configured to function as any mouse-button event or keystroke. This unit does not interfere with the operation of other pointing devices, such as a mouse.

CrossScanner is a mouse emulator program designed for use by individuals with fine motor, neurological, or upper extremity disabilities or spinal cord injury. This program enables one- or two-switch control of mouse functions. With the switch(es) plugged into a switch interface (not included), the user is able to perform mouse moves; performs clicks, double clicks, and drags; operate menus; and enter text through an on-screen keyboard. Early and Advanced Switch Games is a control switch training program designed to provide training in the use of single switches for children with upper extremity disabilities. This program includes 19 games and activities ranging from cause and effect through following directions and matching, and up to using the switch to make a funny face and print it out. Examples of games included are Noises, which provides instant positive reinforcement on switch activation; Build-A-Scene, which adds a part of a picture every time the switch is pressed; and an advanced set of games that require counting, matching, and manipulation. FIND THE BUTTONS
Find the Buttons is a computer instruction program designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. This audible button program teaches users about the computer graphical user interface (GUI) by providing audible feedback for the movements of the mouse. The program offers ten sizable and movable on-screen buttons, each of which has its own individual audible tone. As the user leaves a button, another sound is heard. When the mouse is in the margin where there are no buttons, a different sound is heard. When the user clicks on a button, a more detailed sound is heard. The program enables users to record their own sounds so the sounds can be customized or can tell a story. H-56 IPAD ULTIMATE II CASE
The H-56 iPad Ultimate II Case is a tablet computer protector designed for use by individuals with grasping, upper extremity and fine motor disabilities who use an Apple iPad. The case uses a special foam and is resistant to damage. The handle is foldable and can be attached to the case by rivets. A shoulder strap (included) or a stand can also be attached to the case by removing the handle. A screen protector is also included with the product. H-86: CAPACITIVE HEADPOINTER
The H-86: Capacitive HeadPointer is a headwand and stylus for tablet computer and touchscreen designed for use by individuals with grasping or upper extremity disabilities, spinal cord injury, or severe physical disabilities. This product is a combination of a capacitive mouthstick and a headpointer, allowing people with limited or no use of their hands to use an iPad and other tablet devices that have a capacitive touchscreen. The fit of the H-86 headpointer is adjustable with a "dial." The mouthstick does not require any skin contact to activate or control the touchscreen device. OPTIONS: H-86-STYLUS capacitive mouthstick available separately. COMPATIBILITY: For use with the Apple iPad or other devices with capacitive touchscreens. DIMENSIONS: The mouthstick is 14 inches long; a shorter mouthstick is available upon request. The distance between top of the head and tip is about 20 inches. H-88 TABLET HANDPOINTER
The H-88 Tablet HandPointer is a stylus for a tablet computer or other touch screen device designed for use by individuals with fine motor or neurological disabilities or arthritis. This capacitive stylus is designed to interact with the touchscreens of an iPad or other tablet. The stylus is mounted on a plastic cylinder, which is grasped in the users palm with the stylus emerging from between the first and second (index and middle) fingers or the second and third (middle and ring) fingers. The cylinder is secured to the hand with a Velcro strap that goes around the back of the hand and a second strap, attached to the first, that fastens around the wrist. The HandPointer is designed to fit any hand, and it can be cut to meet individual needs. COMPATIBILITY: For use with the Apple iPad or other devices with capacitive touchscreens.

ICANEMAIL (MODELS SM-24 & SM-27)
ICanEmail is a voice output electronic mail program designed for use by individuals with learning, visual, or physical disabilities. This full-screen talking email program operates in a sequential manner, where it asks one question at a time, such as "Who would you like to send this to?" or "If you'd like to speak your message, you can do that here." The email partner (sender or recipient) does not require any special software to interact with the user of this program. The program also enables the user to send or receive mail from other users on their system, without using the Internet. AOL, Hotmail, and other email providers can be accessed through a third party program, IzyMail. The program works with a keyboard such as IntelliKeys or BigKeys (see entries); a pointing device such as Magic Touchscreen, SAM-Joystick, or SAM-Trackball; or CrossScanner for single switch (see entries). The program can also be operated by voice, even the voice of an augmentative communication device. The program is available in downloadable or CD versions. KEYBOARD STAND (MODEL H-38)
The Keyboard Stand, model H-38, is a keyboard tray and slant board designed for use by individuals with neurological or physical disabilities. This unit holds the user's keyboard at an angle such as 45 or 60 degrees, which reduces head-bobbing, where the user has to look down, then up at the monitor, then down, then up, etc. It also eliminates the accidental production of spaces by the palm of the hand, and puts the keyboard at an angle in line with the screen. The unit is lightweight and transportable, and stays in place with Stick & Stuck adhesive material on the bottom.

KeyRead is a screen reader program designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. Tailored to users who may be new to the computer, this reader is controlled by the standard keyboard arrow keys and echoes each keystroke. The Mini-Auggie, model H-19, is a direct selection or scanning communicator designed for use by individuals with communication or speech disabilities. This augmentative communication device consists of a PocketPC (HP iPaq 2495) loaded with Point To Pictures - Mobile (PTP-Mobile) software. The unit is touch-sensitive and comes with built-in voice recording capability and the Mayer-Johnson PCS library on an SD card. An unlimited number of pages with up to 25 pictures per page can be stored, jumped to, and retrieved. The selected picture can be displayed on the full screen. The rugged case is almost all speaker. The PTP-Mobile AAC program can be operated by touching the screen, or through auto- or step-scanning with the optional cordless switch interface. Scanning can be visual or auditory. The Mini-SwitchPort is a computer switch control interface designed for use by individuals with fine motor, neurological, or upper extremity disabilities. This unit has two switch input jacks and a retractable USB cable for connecting to a computer. When a switch is plugged into one of the unit's jacks, the switch input becomes standard mouse-clicks (Windows: left, right; Macintosh: click, click), and with installation of the accompanying Switchhopper software, each button can be configured to input any mouse-button event or keystroke. This unit does not interfere with the operation of other pointing devices, such as a mouse. It works in addition to the mouse, which retains all of its normal functions when SwitchHopper software is asleep. The Mouse Button-Box, model H-47, is a switch-adapted mouse emulator designed for use by individuals with fine motor, neurological, or severe physical disabilities, spinal cord injury, or cerebral palsy. This interface is available with left- and right-click buttons on the left, left- and right-click buttons on the right, one large button on the left, or one large button on the right. Pressing two adjacent buttons moves the cursor diagonally. The unit has a USB connection so it works on both Macintosh and Windows (requires accompanying software for both). It has adjustable speeds and functions, including dwell-click in Windows. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible or Mac computers. Point to Pictures is a symbolic communicator language tutorial program designed to help persons with communication disorders to learn about and use language. The program starts at the cause and effect level (Communication mode) with items to motivate and help a learner to use pictures as communication symbols, and progresses to matching an identifying pictures (Training mode), within a context such as a mall or home. OPTIONS: The program may also operate battery-operated toys and electrical appliances with an optional Toy Interface ($75). SMARTCLICK
SmartClick is a mouse emulator program designed to enable individuals with upper extremity disabilities to perform mouse button functions. This utility program enables users who can utilize a pointing device but not click buttons, or who can click only one button or switch, to perform mouse button functions. Thunder-RJ ScreenReader-on-a-Stick is a screen reader program designed for use by individuals with blindness or low vision or who have learning disabilities. This device is intended for those who are new to using a computer or who need a simpler alternative to more comprehensive programs. This screen reader works almost entirely using the standard keyboard arrow keys. Features include echoing of each keystroke and word; selective reading of the screen by character, word, line, or entire page; selective reading of menus; and, reading of dialog boxes and buttons. This screen reader works with Microsoft Word, WordPad, Notepad, Desktop, Explorer, My Computer, Outlook and Outlook Express, and Excel. Wheels! is a video game designed for use by children with cognitive, sensory, or motor disabilities. This game can be played as a game or it can be used to teach wheelchair control skills. This three-dimensional video game has players fight evil clowns and mad robots with pie guns that "cream" the monsters with lemon meringue pies; the monsters fight back with pie guns that fire blueberry pies. The game uses easy-to-follow mazes set in a familiar school setting with familiar objects. Each maze offers three levels of user-selectable difficulty. The level of difficulty is determined by the entrance selected. At the medium and hard levels, damage is incurred when walls are struck, teaching the skills needed for powered wheelchair control. As the player finishes each maze, the hallways become narrower and the clowns and robots become more aggressive, creating greater challenge. Similar in design to the Buddy Button (see separate entry), the Undercover Buddy comes with a sheet of colorful, removable and reusable stickers that enable the user to change the switch's appearance whenever the mood strikes. This switch has a slight indent on its surface to accept the round stickers. DIMENSIONS: The stickers are 1.5 inches in diameter. COLOR: The switch surface is yellow.
