1. MATH...TO GO

   Math...To Go! is an auditory output, electronic educational toy designed to help children develop skills in equation solving, math tables, and critical-thinking problems while practicing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. The toys memory has more than 50,000 math problems on three challenge levels. Correct answers are rewarded with musical tunes and graphics on the 7-character LCD display. The toy also has a calculator built-in so the device can be used to complete school lessons. The portable unit has a built-in handle. A Spanish version is also available. COLORS: Dark blue, light blue-green case; dark blue keys with white numbers and symbols. RECOMMENDED AGE GROUP: Manufacturer suggests 5 to 9 years.

   Speak and math with braille imprinted controls. Electronic voice output provides instruction, reads, answers and gives encouragement for correct solutions. Develop fundamental skills with more than 100,000 problems in addition, subtraction, multiplication, simple geometry and algebra. 3. SUPER SPEAK & MATH

   Super Speak & Math is a math skills game and training system designed to develop an understanding of important basic math concepts. This electronic, educational toy has a memory with more than 250,000 problems on three difficulty levels. This portable unit has a built-in handle, 3-line LCD display that helps children visualize the "Base 10" picture method, and calculator-like keyboard with color-coded activity keys. Auditory output includes music and video arcade sound effects and speech synthesis. The unit turns off automatically to save batteries. COLORS: Royal blue case; dark blue, light blue, yellow and black keys. RECOMMENDED AGE GROUP: Manufacturer suggests 6 to 12 years.

4. SUPER SPEAK & READ

   Super Speak & Read is a story reading program and educational electronic toy that uses phonics and sight-reading methods to help children relate letters and letter patterns to sounds, and helps them to build words and complete sentences. This device may be suitable for children with low vision due to its voice output features, the enlarged black on white print, and the control buttons that have blue on white symbols as well as smaller print words to indicate On, Off, Repeat, Skip Ahead, and Skip Back. The portable toy has a built-in handle and opens like a book. Different spiral- bound stories and games can be inserted into the center of the unit. The touch-sensitive surface allows the child to interact with the female voice which guides, asks questions, and praises the child. 4 activity books included more than 30 games and include rhyming, words, opposites, simple spelling, story-making, and more. RECOMMENDED AGE GROUP: Manufacturer suggests ages 3 to 7 years.

5. TALKING MASTER MOUSE COMPUTER

   The Talking Master Mouse Computer is an educational, electronic toy computer with mouse designed to introduce computer skills and develop math, pre-school spelling, and vocabulary skills. This toy may be appropriate for use by children with low vision due to the bright, contrasting colors of the overlay inserts, keyboard, and screen, as well as the high contrast black on white large print keypad. Activity cards are inserted into the top of the "monitor", and the voice output guides the child through the math and pre-school spelling activities, word games, music and game activities. A "clicking" mouse is included that corresponds to one of four large mousepads on the keyboard. The child can use the mouse to select within the activities and indicate answers. The keyboard has standard QWERTY key arrangement to familiarize the child with computing and typing skills. 24 activities on 10 cards are included. This device is portable, with a handle for carrying, and storage space under the keyboard for the activity cards. RECOMMENDED AGE GROUP: Manufacturer suggests ages 4 years and up.

6. TIME...TO GO

   Time...To Go! is an auditory output, electronic educational toy and time skills tutorial program designed to teach telling time on a conventional clock face, setting digital clocks and alarms, the concept of AM and PM, and a better understanding of before/after and earlier/later concepts. This toy is also a real working alarm clock with a built-in stand so it can be placed on a bed side table. Includes 10 double-sided cards for 20 different activities. Child interacts with the device by pressing the clock face that represents the digital time displayed on the LCD screen. Correct answers are rewarded with musical tunes and sound effects. Time...To Go! is portable, and has a built-in handle and compartment for activity cards. COLORS: Yellow and blue. RECOMMENDED AGE GROUP: Manufacturer recommends 4 to 8 years.

7. VIEWSCREEN

   ViewScreen is a calculator screen magnifier designed for use by individuals with low vision. This calculator screen projector enlarges and projects the image of a graphing calculator display so that an entire class can view the screen, including students with low vision. It is designed to work with Texas Instruments graphing calculators, which show graphs and geometrical images on their displays. This product may be used with any standard overhead projector (not included). It can also be used with a light box (not included) for individual viewing. It comes with a carrying case, a ViewScreen liquid crystal display (LCD) panel, a calculator, a unit-to-unit link, a calculator poster, transparencies, and a guidebook. POWER: Uses alternating current (AC) adapter (included). OPTIONS: Components are available separately to meet specific classroom requirements. Three ViewScreen panels are available: One fits Texas Instruments calculator models TI-73, TI-80, TI-82, TI-83 and TI-83 Plus; one fits model TI-86; and one fits models TI-89 and TI-92 Plus.

The child interfaces with the device by touching the pictures that correspond to the word written in the LCD display. Musical tunes reward correct responses. Also available in Spanish.
