    Braille Labelled Diskettes are 3.5-inch and 5.25 inch computer diskettes designed to allow people who read Braille to determine the technical specification of a diskette and to create their own labels. An enclosed user kit contains pressure sensitive labels that may be embossed with information about the diskette contents and applied to the diskette. The diskettes are packaged in boxes of ten, and the price varies according to the number of boxes ordered. COMPATABILITY: For use on all computers.

  1. ALADDIN GENIE PRO Picture of ALADDIN GENIE PRO

    The Aladdin Genie Pro is a low vision reading system designed to magnify text and photographs. This system can be used with SVGA and multi-sync monitors, S-video monitors, and television monitors (monitor not included). The reading table has a large, non-glare platform that assists in reading oversized books and moves freely in any direction. This system offers a split screen mode which permits simultaneous display of the magnified image and the computer image or full-screen toggle may be selected. The system utilizes a set-up mode to precisely align the camera picture with the computer display when in split-screen mode. Print can be magnified to more than five inches high on a 17-inch monitor and standard features include bright negative viewing mode, color select mode to enable a choice of background and letter color, full-color viewing mode, and full-color photo mode. Additional features include shadow masking, which highlights one area of the screen while dimming the rest, and underlining, which places an adjustable line on the screen for use as a writing guide or place marker. This portable system operates with three simple controls, offers variable contrast control, and features a camera that zooms to provide magnification from four to 38 times. The image display can be viewed in full color or in white on black. OPTIONS: A clamp mount, a carrying case, an extra-long flexible arm with mounting clamp, an LCD display, and a lens set to produce magnification up to 50 times (dependent on monitor size). This magnifier can also be connected to a computer monitor, although additional hardware may be required. Flipper can be used for near, intermediate, and distance viewing. The magnification range is 6 to 30 times original size for near objects and 1 to 12 times original size for distant objects. Flipper magnifies in full color with auto-focus magnification and multiple contrast options, and can magnify images on any surface.
