1. DYNAMIC FOREHEAD STRAP SYSTEM (MODEL DFS-1)

   The Dynamic Forehead Strap System is a headrest accessory designed to support the head for individuals who have difficulty maintaining their head in an upright position. It is meant for use with the S.O.F.T. headrest system (see separate entry). The system consists of pulleys that allow the forehead band to move with the user, providing greater freedom of movement. The strap is designed to float about freely with the user. The straps are available in two different styles. The first features a terry cloth side facing against the skin (TAS) and is typically the most frequent. The second features a Neoprene rubber side facing against the skin (NAS). This is for individuals who move more vigorously so the neoprenes contact against the skin provides better protection against slippage. OPTIONS: Replacement forehead straps are come in TAS or NAS with three designs available: black, grafiti and red with stars for a price of $10.00 each.

2. HEAD SUPPORT SYSTEM (MODELS PLUSH-1 & PLUSH-2)

   The Head Support System, models PLUSH-1 and PLUSH-2, is designed to provide comfort and support for individuals who have difficulty holding their head in an upright position. The base is a durable metal panel which is padded with two layers of foam that makes them feel as soft as pillows. They are covered in zippered Darlexx fabric and are easy to remove for washing. This head support system comes with a choice of hardware: swingaway mounting hardware; detachable hardware; fixed mounting hardware; and mounting bracket or vertical rod. OPTIONS: Additional headrest pads, model P1011 and P2011 are available for $93. Darlexx headrest cover, models P1012 and P2012 are sold for $36 and $41. A 6 inch ballrod, model P1211 is $20. DIMENSIONS: PLUSH-1 is ten inches. PLUSH-2 is twelve inches.

3. HYDRO SUPPORT CONFIGURATION (MODEL HSC-1)

   The Hydro Support Configuration, model HSC-1, is head support system designed for supporting the enlarged heads of individuals with hydrocephalus. It is a collection of four modular pads allowing a wide variety of positioning and options. Each cushion is padded with high quality foam and locks securely into place with ball and socket brackets. The cover is sewn from Darlexx water resistant lycra that is soft to the touch against the head. This head support system comes with a choice of hardware: swingaway mounting hardware; detachable hardware; fixed mounting hardware; and mounting bracket or vertical rod.

4. LATERAL FACIAL COMPONENT (MODEL LFC-1)

   The Lateral Facial Component model LFC-1 is an accessory for the SOFT-1 or SOFT-2 headrest systems (see separate entries) that provides additional support to persons with severe ATNR or difficulty aligning in midline position. The support consists of two independently adjustable pads placed in front of the user's ears and extending from approximately the cheekbone to the crest of the head. The user's hearing or visual field is only minimally interfered by the device. The LFC-1 may be ordered three different ways for postural alignment, switch access, or a combination of the two. A forehead strap with velcro attach plates is also available for greater support. The pads are covered with a black fabric and mounted on a metal frame that connects to the headrest system.

5. LUV BASE (MODEL LUV-1)

   Manual mobility base. Seat pan will accept a variety of seating systems. 14 by 14 inch seat pan has adjustable height of 15.5 to 19.5 inches from the floor. Gas cylinder under pan provides smooth tilt in space adjustament. Tubular steel frame. 12 inch rear wheels, 8 inch front casters. Overall length 34 inches. Overall width 25 inches. Weight of base 35 pounds. Maximum weight of user 180 pounds. Available in six colors.

6. OVAL HEAD SUPPORT SYSTEM (MODEL OHS-1 & OHS-2)

   The Oval Head Support System, model OHS-1 and OHS-2, are head supports designed for individuals wo have difficulty holding their head up on their own. Both Designs are padded with high quality foam and lock securely into place with ball and socket adjustment. Model OHS-1 is designed for minimal support, while model OHS-2 is larger and designed for wide support and well padded for those with behavioral difficulties. Both pads are covered in Darlexx water resistant lycra that is soft to the touch against the head. This head support system comes with a choice of hardware: swingaway mounting hardware; detachable hardware; fixed mounting hardware; and mounting bracket or vertical rod. OPTIONS: Replacement covers are available. DIMENSIONS (WxH): OHS-1 is 5.5 x 4 inches. OHS-2 is 12.5 x 5 inches.

7. QUIK MOUNT (MODEL M1015)

   The Quik Mount, model M1015 is a mounting clamp designed for attaching head supports to wheelchairs. This bracket provides a quick and easy way for clinicians to attach head supports to wheelchairs for evaluation purposes. It can also be used on chairs that have sling style back upholstery.

8. S.O.F.T. HEADREST SYSTEM (MODELS SOFT-1, SOFT-2, SOFT-3, SOFT-4, & SOFT-5)

   The S.O.F.T. (Sub Occipital Formed Three-piece) Headrest System is a head and neck support designed to provide lateral cervical support. The device consists of a rear occipital pad and two sub occipital pads curved to allow ear clearance and to prevent "hooking". Each of the 3 components is independently adjustable. The support system also features ball and socket adjustments to provide an additional plane of movement. The total unit is attached to a height adjustable rod that is attached to the back of the seating system. The cushioned pads are covered with a black fabric. SOFT-2 is similar to the SOFT-1, but the side supports are not curved. SOFT-3 is a "junior" or smaller model of SOFT-1 designed for use by children or adults with less than 3 inches of clearance between the bottom of the ear and the top of the shoulder. The SOFT-4 is also "junior" sized but the standard occipital pad is replaced with a larger oval pad for more support. SOFT-5 is the adult system with a larger, more comfortable occipital pad compared to the earlier versions. It utilizes the PLUSH-1 pad (see separate entry) for larger surface area. All of these models are available with the following hardware: swingaway mounting hardware; detachable hardware; fixed mounting hardware; or without mounting bracket or vertical rod. OPTIONS: Occiptial mounts and occipital forks are available for Soft-1, -2, and -3 for $31.00 to $36.00. Right and left and rear sub-ocipital pads are available for models SOFT-1, -2, and -3 for a price ranging from $52.00 to $67.00. A washable lycra cover for these pads cost an additional $10.00.

9. UNILATERAL FACIAL COMPONENT (MODELS UFC-1,-2,-3 & -4)

   The Unilateral Facial Component, models UFC-1, UFC-2, UFC-3 and UFC-4, is a support designed for holding one side of the face or head for individuals who have difficulty holding their head in a mid-line position. It is similar to the Lateral Facial Component but is recommende for providing additional support to the individual with mild ANTR. The single adjustable pad can be positioned for greatest support and then locked securely into place using ball and socket brackets. It comes in four differnt models. UFC-1 is with one standard facial pad. UFC-2 comes with one standard switch mount and mounting bracket. UFC-3 features the new standard SPOT pad and mounting bracket. The pad can be set in linear/angular positions for optimal placement and locked into place. UFC-4 comes with the standard OVAL facial pad and mounting bracket. This pad offers a large padded surface that may be helpful when trying to support up over the crown of the head. All of these models are also available with the swingaway bracket. DIMENSIONS: The spot pad measured 2-1/4 inches in diameter.

10. WHIT KIT (MODEL A0001)

    The Whit Kit, model A0001, is a large selection of head supports allowing the clinician to evaluate what head support system works best for the client. It includes head support pads and hardware which let the clinician create custom solutions by mixing and matching components. They come packed in a hard shell plastic case for transporting. Also included is the Quik Mount hardware bracket (see separate entry) for fast and simple assembly and adjustment on any wheelchair. Whit Kit comes complete with tools and instructions.
