  1. PC-VOICE.

    --- DISCONTINUED. (verified 11/95) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR RECORDS. --- PC-Voice is a package of software and hardware which enables a computer to produce speech output. Predefined words, phrases, messages, and letters can be selected by the user. Once a selection is made, using a keyboard, mouse or track ball, the appropriate words will be "spoken" by a speech synthesizer (included) which is connected to the parallel port of the computer. Phrase and word lists can be modified by the user. PC- Voice has "scratchpad" and word prediction functions; it can also be used a text reader to speak any document which is in the computer. Speech output can be controlled in volume, tone, and pitch. The package includes: speech synthesizer, interface cables, external amplifier/ speaker, battery, PC-Voice Software, a user's guide, and backup disks. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM computers.

  2. PORTA-VOICE

    --- DISCONTINUED. (verified 11/95) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR RECORDS. --- Porta-Voice is a portable, self-contained computer with speech output. The user can select predefined messages, words, and letters using a keyboard, mouse, or track ball which the computer will then "speak". The device can also be used as a text reader for any document which is in the computer. Porta-Voice has word processing, scratchpad, spreadsheet, and database capabilities. A word prediction feature enables the user to select word choices from predefined lists; frequently used phrases and words can also be accessed using macro features. Porta-Voice includes a computer, battery, power supply, external speaker, case, Porta-Voice software, MS-DOS version 3.30, GW-Basic version 3.20, a user' s guide, and backup disks. COMPATIBILITY: For use with the Panasonic Laptop. WEIGHT: 7 pounds.
