    Gus! Dwell Cursor is a mouse emulator program designed for use by individuals with upper extremity disabilities. The program emulates left and right clicks, double click, adjustable drag sensitivity, as well as offering the choice of auditory feedback. This software utilizes dwelling, a feature that enables the user to move the cursor over an item to be "clicked" ans have the cursor automatically activate the click. The cursor activation time can be set from 0.5 to 4 seconds. The program's toolbar is resizable, floats above any window, and can be placed where it is most convenient for the user.     Gus! Dwell Pic is a mouse emulator program designed to perform mouse functions for individuals who use head pointers. The on-screen program enables the user to perform all mouse functions hands-free simply by dwelling on an icon. Setting preferences for click, right click, and click and drag enables control of all functions using this one tool. Dwell sensitivity can be set to accommodate the precision of the user's movements and dwell speed also can be set to suit the user.This program works throughout the operating system and within applications.     Gus! Joystick Control is a mouse emulator program designed for use by individuals with upper extremity disabilities. This program enables a common gaming joystick or game pad to control the cursor in the same way a mouse does. The trigger and fire buttons are converted to mouse click buttons. The user can select which joystick button issues a left or right click or performs an automatic button action (single, double, or drag) after a selected delay period. Joystick/cursor movement sensitivity is adjustable and a sound can be selected to accompany the button being activated. This program does not interfere with standard mouse operation, enabling both the joystick and the mouse to be utilized simultaneously if desired.     The Gus! Multimedia Speech System is an augmentative communicaton program designed to provide scanning, direct selection, or switch activated access to sound and voice output or a number of other computer software programs. The system components include the Gus! Talking Keyboard, Gus Easy Talk speech synthesizer, Gus Speak Clipboard, Gus Talking Calculator, Gus symbol set, and Gus mouse/switch interface. KEYBOARD: The on-screen keyboard is combined with a clear synthetic voice and features adjustable speed, volume, and pitch. An Exception Dictionary is included. When used with Windows for Pen Computing, the program offers handwriting recognition, handwriting-to-speech, and gesture-to-speech features. The keyboard display is shown at the bottom of the computer screen, with a text display area above it. In addition to a full keyboard layout, buttons include Press to Speak, Clear Display, Import Text, Instant Recital of date and time, and Export Text. SPEECH SYSTEM: This provides CD-quality words, sentences, sound effects, and music. Any recordable voice, regardless of age, sex, language, or dialect may be reproduced. Digital (recorded with the built-in Microsoft Sound Recorder program), synthesized (spontaneous), and pre-planned (clipboard) speech are possible. SYMBOLS: The user may choose from two to 72 symbol buttons per page, with unlimited layers. Buttons may be customized with a few selections, or created with the built-in Microsoft Paintbrush drawing program of any PC-compatible symbol set, such as the Mayer-Johnson symbols. MOUSE/SWITCH: This device (included) may be used as a standard mouse, a switch and/or a switch interface at the same time. This communicator software runs on a handheld computer, and supports a dynamic display with four to twenty-five sound buttons per page, using text, symbols, or digital photographs in a 1x4, 1x6 2x2, 2x4, 2x6, 2x8, 3x3, 3x4, 4x4, 4x5, or 5x5 page layout. The program uses recorded or synthetic speech; Neospeech speech synthesizer is included. The program comes with 5,500 communication symbols. Button actions include speak label, speak message, play sound, go to previous page, go to specific page, speak/go to specific page, go to selected page, clear text box, and speak text box. Pages can be duplicated, imported, or exported. The system settings area is password protected. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Pocket PC with a minimum of 128 megabytes (MB) of memory and Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system. OPTIONS: Pocket Communicator X51, a Pocket PC (HP) with preinstalled speech software, including Gus! Pocket Communicator, EasyTalk, and Pocket Keyboard, and a Wallet Speaker or Speaker Case.

    Gus! Scanning Cursor is a mouse emulator program designed for use by individuals with upper extremity disabilities. This program moves the cursor and provides an interface to activate mouse buttons using one or two switches. Provided functions include mouse movement, click, double click, and drag using one or two switches or the left click mouse button. This program features adjustable scanning speed and auto scanning menus to access menu items such as file, open/close, etc. Automatic scanning of each item in the menu box is initiated as soon as the box is selected.     The Gus! Touch Screen for portable computers provides touch access (finger or pen) to any Microsoft Windows application for people with physical disabilities. The device is placed over the portable computer screen to provide the benefits of "direct selection" at the press of a finger. It requires no batteries, power adapter or bulky control box and is compatible with all sizes of portable computer screens, including 8.4, 9.5, and 10.3 inch screens. DIMENSIONS: The metal frame measures 7 3/8 inches high x 10 1/8 inches long. WEIGHT: 12.4 ounces.

    Gus! Word Prediction is a word prediction program designed for use by individuals with fine motor or upper extremity disabilities and individuals who use one hand on a computer keyboard. This voice output utility program can be used with standard application software. It places an "always on top" window on the computer screen, which can be stretched or shrunk to any size, with automatic adjustment of font size. As the user begins to enter a word, the box displays a list of choices. Words are presented based on "frequency of use," meaning that words that the user has typed most often in the past appear at the top. As the user continues to type, the list narrows the choices down further. This feature is called "word completion." To select one of the words from the list, the user presses the corresponding function key (F1 to F9). The program learns new words as the user types (Autolearn) and builds a personalized vocabulary. After the user has finished entering a word, the box will display a list of words that often follow the word just entered, based on the user's own vocabulary. The program also includes abbreviation expansion (for example, "gm" may be expanded to "good morning") and a spell checker. The program automatically speaks as the user types, based on Microsoft Speech. The maximum dictionary size is more than 100,000 words.

    Speechpro is a direct selection communicator program designed for use by individuals with communication, speech, or neurological disabilities. This communicator program combines an onscreen keyboard with a dynamic display system on the same screen. It includes Neospeech (English) male and female voices and 5,500 communication symbols. The user can change the content and appearance of speech buttons, word buttons, or the keyboard, and save the layout as a template. Pictures, images, digital photos, and communication symbols can be added to buttons, and every button can be edited independently. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Windows XP or Vista.
