  1. HEALTH SKILLS PROGRAM (MODEL LSG13)

    The Health Skills Program, model LSG13, is a board game designed to stress the importance of having a healthy lifestyle for persons with learning disabilities. It is used to encourage individuals to take care of their bodies. The categories are Medicine, Your Body, Health Workers and Healthy Choices. The topics include self medication issues, taking care of your teeth, eyes and ears, weight maintenance, eating healthy foods, food spoilage, dressing for the weather and emotional health. OPTIONS: Set of 20 blank draw cards is available for $6.50. Progress reports are available for $12.50.

  1. KEEPING HOUSE (M0DEL KH-10Q)

    The Keeping House Program, model KH-10Q, is an independent living skills tutorial designed to teach domestic activities and housekeeping skills in naturally occurring sequences to people with cognitive disabilities. The program is comprised of the Keeping House Picture Prompt Set, the curriculum and the Keeping House video. The Picture Prompt Set provides 72 laminated routine cards and Step Page masters (see separate entry) to teach sequenced activities. The set also includes a pocket prompt book, 2 display pages, instructions and a card case. The curriculum offers an instruction guide with lesson plans and a complete resource file. The video uses the story of Mary and her friends planning a party to illustrate the concepts of the program and to provide entertainment and motivation, as well as role modeling and discussion topics. A video guide is included.
