  1. CAL-TAC HAPTIC FLASHCARDS, ADVANCED SET

    CAL-tac HAPTIC Flashcards, the 17 card advanced set, are perceptual training cards designed to (1) introduce and reinforce shape identification, (2) shape and texture discrmination, and (3) spatial relationships and pattern sequencing for persons with low vision or cognitive disabilities. These training cards utilize six basic shapes: Circles, squares, rectangles, wavy lines, ovals and triangles. In this particular 17 card set, six cards are designed to ask the user to recognize different textures; the user must select the one texture that does not match the other three. A set of five cards are designated for shape orientation; the user is asked to select the one shape that is different from the other three and the user must identify the shape presented in different orientations. The last six cards are designed to exercise the user's ability to recognize shapes presented in a repetitive series; the user must select the shape that comes next.

  2. CAL-TAC HAPTIC FLASHCARDS, BEGINNER SET

    The CAL-tac HAPTIC Flashcards, the 14 card beginner set, are perceptual training cards designed to (1)introduce and reinforce shape identification, (2) shape and texture discrimination, and (3) spatial relationships and pattern sequencing for persons with low vision or cognitive disabilities. These flashcards utilize six basic shapes: Cicles, squares, rectangles, wavy lines, ovals and triangles. In this particular set, six cards are designed to introduce large and small examples of each shape. A second set of six cards asks the user to select the shape that does not match the other three. The last set of two cards are designated to invite the user to find and identify each of the six shapes on the card.

  3. CAL-TAC NOTECARD Picture of CAL-TAC NOTECARD

    CAL-tac Notecards are braille greeting cards designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. Each card has a tactile illustration with a caption in grade II braille, and space to add an individual message using a brailler, slate, typewriter, or single feed braille printer. The illustration is embossed on a soft white plastic sheet that fits into a firm card stock backing. A white envelope is also included. Designs currently available include six balloons (CONGRATULATIONS); snowperson (Season’s Greetings); clown face (Happy Birthday); bells and holly (Season’s Greetings); three hearts; kiddush cup with Star of David; butterfly; flowers in flower pot; hummingbird and flowers (Thinking of You); dove with olive branch; sailboat under moonlight; rainbow over a duck pond; waterfall between mountains; bowling ball with ten pins; hot-air balloon; American flag; or stars. DIMENSIONS (HxL): 5 x 7 inches.
