(RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR RFEFERENCE). --- The Adult Polartec Scarf and the Child Polartec Scarf, models 111 and 117, are scarves designed for use by men, women, or children with fine motor or upper extremity disabilities. The scarf goes around the neck and has a Velcro closure. It is made from double-thick 200-weight Polartec. When used with the Wintercape (see separate entry), it fills in the chest area at the neck and the hood, and helps keep the hood in place and wind out. SIZES: Child or adult. The person lies on the unzipped pant, the foot is inserted and the pants are zipped. The front drops down with both sides unzipped to aid in toileting. The pants are available in twill, fleece, or denim, and in full-length or short pant lengths. SIZES: For waists 20 to 28, 30 to 34, 36 to 38, 40 to 42, 44 to 46, 48 to 50 inches. These trousers have a higher back and lower front that avoids digging into the ribs of a wearer sitted in a wheelchair. Other features include an elastic waistband and a hook-and-loop fly. The fly opens to the right; opening to the left is available on request. These pants are available in a choice of fabrics: Brushed denim (heavier), cotton twill (lighter), 6-ounce sweatshirt fleece (warmer), or knit (stretchier). These elastic coil laces replace traditional shoe laces, and do not require tying. The elastic feature allows users to "stretch" the shoe on and off, treating it as a slip-on.
