VENTRAC FREEDOM (MODEL 300)
The Ventrac Freedom, model 300, is an all terrain vehicle designed to enable individuals who use wheelchairs to independently perform a variety of outdoor tasks. This open three-wheeled vehicle features a driver's compartment that enables the user to remain in his or her wheelchair. CONTROLS: Height- and tilt-adjustable handlebar steering with a forward/reverse lever. FWD: Front wheel drive. DRIVER COMPARTMENT (WxL): 32 x 50 inches. The compartment is wheelchair accessible and height-adjustable. The rear tailgate serves as an entrance/exit ramp. The compartment has four height adjustments, depending upon wheel setting. The highest setting provides 4-inch ground clearance and the lowest provides a ramp slope of 12 to 1. Front brackets are included to assist in securing the wheelchair. BRAKES: Manual parking brake. WHEELS: The front wheel is 16 x 7.5 x 8 inches. The softer rear tires are 15 x 4 inches. POWER: Five-horsepower gasoline engine and a hydrostatic transmission. The vehicle has a 3-quart fuel capacity. SPEEDS: The top speed is 15 miles per hour. DIMENSIONS (LxW): The vehicle is 72 x 42 inches. CAPACITY: 300 pounds. WEIGHT: 300 pounds.
