The VoiceAnnounce Caller ID, model 9900CW, is a voice output caller identification unit designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision or mobility disabilities. This device enables users to screen calls without having to read the caller ID display. The unit voice announces, in a choice of English or Spanish, the caller's identity by ten-digit telephone number or name when the phone rings; telemarketers and potentially unwanted callers are identified with the announcement of "number unknown" or "number blocked." The unit also works in conjunction with call waiting service by announcing the caller's identification following the call waiting tone. A visual message-waiting indicator is provided for network voice mail. Other standard features include storing the 99 most recent calls for audible and visual review; a large liquid crystal display (LCD); dial back; and adjustable volume control. POWER: Uses the included 9-volt alternating current (AC) adapter. DIMENSIONS: 5 3/8 x 4 3/8 x 2 inches.

VoiceAnnounce Communicator for Skype is a voice output caller identification and voice input program designed for use to make the SKYPE Internet Telephone service accessible to individuals with physical or visual disabilities. When a Skype call comes in, this software application announces the caller’s name or telephone number over the computer’s speakers, cordless headset, or handset. The user can record custom announcements associated with their Skype contacts, or let the software’s built-in text-to-speech engine announce the contact names automatically in English or Spanish. The program also enables voice commands to make calls, answer calls, and access the contact list. Other voice commands enabled by this program include "Hang Up," "Read Contacts," "Who’s Online," and "Help." Speech recognition for voice commands is speaker independent. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Windows XP or Vista operating system; DirectX 9.0 or later; .NET 1.1 Framework.
