BIG PICTURE PC TO TV TRANSMITTER (MODEL VK25A)

(Verified 03/2009) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Big Picture PC to TV Transmitter is a computer transmitter designed to enable individuals with low vision, mobility, or upper extremity disabilities to view and hear computer content via the television. The included universal remote offers buttons to operate the television, cable, and VCR as well as buttons to enable computer access to check e-mail, surf the Web, show DVD movies or play games from the computer via the television. This wireless system enables the contents of the computer monitor and sound to be transmitted to a television up to 100 feet away. The system includes the transmitter and receiver, and a wireless mousepad for remote navigation with software to customize buttons on the remote. Left and right mouse buttons are located on the back of the remote for ease of use. The remote also features buttons for launching web browsers, DVD players, e-mail, and more. In addition, buttons can be assigned to functions such as e-mail, redial, passwords, website addresses, or as a numeric keypad for spreadsheets. OPTIONS: X 10 transcievers and modules (not included) can be added to the system to enable the remote to control lights and appliances.

IRLINK (MODELS IRLINK1, IRLINK2, & IRLINK 5)

(Verified 03/2009) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The IRLink is a control switch interface designed for use by individuals with uipper extremity disabilities who use wheelchairs. This device enables users to activate switch-adapted devices remotely, eliminating the need to physically activate the switch or to be connected to the switch with a wire for activation from a distance. This unit consists of two components, a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter mounts on the user's wheelchair and converts switch closures to infrared (IR) light. The infrared light is beamed to the receiver which then converts the light to switch closures to operate switch-adapted devices connected to the receiver. Additional transmitters and receivers can be added to the system as needed. Model IRLink1 operates a single-switch and includes a 1/8-inch mono jack for connecting equipment and model IRLink2 hqandles two switch closures and features a 1/8-inch stereo jack for connection. Model IRLink5 handles up to five switch closures and features a nine-pin connecter for connection to a variety of switches, including joysticks. All models include one transmitter, one receiver, a power cable for the transmitter, a transformer for the receiver, a cable to connect the receiver to the equipment, and a user's manual with complete operating instructions. OPTIONS: Additional transmitters, additional receivers, and switch cables and adapters.
