  1. BALLOTCALL Picture of BALLOTCALL

    The BallotCall is a call signal system designed for use in polling places by voters with disabilities. The system provides a means for voters with disabilities to alert election officials when they need assistance. This temporary alert system can be used in government facilities, permanent polling locations and private facilities or venues that are outside of election officials' control. The BallotCall system includes a BigBell wireless alert system (see separate entry) with an oversized touch pad, an LED activation light, and a receiver that can be placed near election judges. The BigBell touch pad can be placed in a variety of locations in and around a polling place where a voter may need assistance, including the entrance, the parking lot and the voting booth. BallotCall also included several optional tools to make polling places accessible. These tools include a post and bracket provide a temporary mount with a durable base for the BigBell and a large sign that can be mounted on any flat surface; the post extends to ADA-appropriate height. Also included is a sign reading "Ring Bell for Voting Assistance," marked with the international access symbol, and a guide to educate election judges on serving voters with disabilities and using the system. The system collapses for storage in a durable hard case with custom protective foam. OPTIONS: Accessible on-site voting with curbside solutions using wifi Internet (electUniversal) or phone (electAccess); accessible absentee voting site; and materials for an accessible voting site for military personnel abroad and any voter needing absentee voting from afar.

    BigBell Basic and BigBell XL are accessible doorbells designed for use by individuals with upper extremity or severe physical disabilities or spinal cord injury. This wireless doorbell features an oversized touch pad button marked with the universal access symbol and is designed to enable individuals with disabilities to summon entry assistance when a powered door operator is not available. BigBell has a range of 100 feet from touch button to receiver. BigBell XL has a range of 600 feet, and also includes an LED activation light to indicate when the button has been pressed. POWER: Touch pad uses standard AC outlet. The receiver uses batteries.

  3. FUELCALL Picture of FUELCALL

    The FuelCall is a call signal system designed for use by gas station customers with disabilities. This system enables customers who need assistance at self-service gas stations to attract the attention of gas station employees. Components include BigBell transmitters (see separate entry) with an oversized touch pads that can be used by customers with limited dexterity; wireless chime receivers; two steel J-shaped mounts for the BigBell transmitters, reinforced to handle abuse; signage for two island caps and a roadside marquee; and installation tools. The chimes have six ring tones with adjustable volume control. A flashing strobe is included. The transmitter has an unobstructed operating range of 2000 feet. POWER: Uses standard A/C wall outlet.

  4. ORDERASSIST Picture of ORDERASSIST

    OrderAssist is a call signal and communication aid for the deaf designed for use by restaurant and drive-through restaurant customers who are deaf or hard of hearing or who have speech or communication disabilities. At the drive-through, the customer reviews the menu board and then uses the included BigBell transmitter (see separate entry) to alert the staff with a tone signal that the customer will be pulling forward and ordering in an alternative way. OrderAssist includes customized forms and pens on which these customers can place their orders. The customer writes out the order and hands it to the server. Components include BigBell Transmitter; a wired or wireless chime receiver; steel J-Bar for mounting of BigBell, reinforced to handle abuse; customized order forms and pens; counter organizers for the order forms and pens; customized signage; and training materials and instructions for restaurant staff. The system is available in a wired or wireless version.

    The 4 Station Franklin Voting Booth is a wheelchair accessible voting booth designed for use by individuals with lower extremity or mobility disabilities or spinal cord injury. This booth has four stations for voters and provides privacy for voters with and without disabilities. One station meets the ADAAG (Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines) requirements for approach, leg clearance, and height. This station has a lower writing shelf for use by wheelchair users or individuals seated in a chair. DIMENSIONS (HxLxD): 25 x 38.5 x 9.5 inches when packed; frame height, 61 inches; distance between outside legs, 32 inches. writing shelf is 37.5 inches high in non-ADAAG stations and 30 inches high in ADAAG station.     The AirVoter, model AC-0300-AV1V2, is a pneumatic (sip and puff) voting machine control designed for use by voters with upper extremity disabilities or amputation, neurological or severe physical disabilities, spinal cord injury, or cerebral palsy. This system allows the user to vote independently on an accessible voting machine through sips or puffs on a disposable mouthpiece in time with visible or headphone-audible cues. After a voter has completed a ballot, the mouthpiece is discarded and the system is available for the next voter. The disposable mouthpiece has an in-line aseptic filter that prevents fluids from being deposited in the reusable tubing to enable hygienic voting by a succession of voters. The mouthpiece is connected by pneumatic tube to a small switch enclosure that converts sips and puffs into electrical signals. This enclosure then connects to the voting machine through a single stereo cable or a USB switch interface. The system includes two sealed mouthpiece assemblies, each with latex-free gloves and instruction sheet; an adjustable padded headset; an air tube with connectors; the sip-puff switchbox with integrated push-buttons for testing purposes; and a cable connection to voting machine. For storage and transport, the system comes in a compact portable case resembling a briefcase with handle and snap closures. OPTIONS: Swifty USB Switch Interface for accessible voting machines that require a USB connection for switches. DIMENSIONS: Air tube is 6 feet long. WEIGHT: 6 pounds (including case).

The ramp provides smooth riding over doorway thresholds. Designed for most standard and sliding-door entrances, the ramp is made of rubber from recycled tires. This ramp can be trimmed for lower heights. For thresholds higher than 2.5 inches, risers (model THR RISER 225-1 PR) are available that can be placed under the ramp.
