Beep 'n Tell is a voice output medication reminder designed for use by persons who are blind or have low vision. The device may also be useful for others who need to be reminded to take medications. Beep 'n Tell has two reminder functions, an alarm, and a voice recorder-player. The alarm is set once by setting the time between alarms, up to 24 times a day. After the medication is taken, replacing the cap resets the alarm. The voice recorder can record the voice of a doctor or family member. Medalarm is a medication reminder and compliance tracking device designed for persons with low vision. The device may also be used by others who need to be reminded to take medications. Medalarm was developed as a reminder and tracking device for use with eyedrops, but it can also be used with other medications. It is a portable, reusable, reprogrammable device that fits in a pocket or purse. It attaches simply yet firmly to the medication bottle. Medalarm calculates dosage and alarm times based on input of start and stop times and the number of doses. Users cannot program individual alarm times, but can program different alarm times for the weekend or various days of the week. A pencil is used to operate keys for programing. The alarm is loud and easy to hear. When it sounds, the user presses the enter button for two seconds to stop the alarm and update the compliance score ("tracker"). SOS EMERGENCY ID SYSTEM
The SOS Emergency ID System is a medical identification tag designed for use by seniors or individuals with disabilities who are at risk for medical emergencies. The unit consists of a stainless steel bracelet, pendant, or children's sneaker attachment with a medallion consisting of two metal halves which screw together to form a crush-, fire- and water-resistant locket. Inside the locket is an accordion folded, 2-sided, 12-inch strip of paper, which can contain personal medical and personal data, such as medical history, age, religion, blood group, allergies, donor information, and next of kin. TALKING RX
Talking Rx is a voice output medication label reader and reminder device designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. This system is a 50-second digital recording device that fits on the bottom of a perscription bottle. 12-, 13-, or 16-dram prescription bottle. A doctor or pharmacist records prescription information and instructions into Talking Rx, and the user can then hear the recorded information and instructions by pushing a small red button. The device produces clear, audible voice playback at 80-85 decibels. Messages can be up to 60 seconds long, and each message can be played up to 150 times. To record a message, the doctor or pharmacist actuates a record button and while holding the record button down, records the message by speaking into Talking Rx. Talking Rx can be used repeatedly. The same Talking Rx can be used again for a different medication or prescription when the first one is finished. The device can also be used with insulin or eye drops. Talking Rx is water-resistant and ultrasonically welded for security. The playback button on the device is protected by a ridge to prevent inadvertant actuation. POWER: Uses three watch batteries. The battery compartment has a cover with a locking screw and a battery protection strip.
