  1. QUALIEYE & QUALIEYE LITE

    QualiEye is a cursor control interface designed for use by individuals with severe physical or upper extremity disabilities or spinal cord injury. This program provides a hands-free mouse alternative, enabling users to move the cursor using body movements and give commands using gestures. The program converts head or finger movements into on-screen cursor movements in real time by processing the images of a standard USB camera (not included). The program provides precise cursor control without requiring equipment to be attached to the user's body; it also manages mouse functions. This program offers pointing device mode, gesture recognition mode, command mode, AutoClick, audio and visual feedback, limit picture capture area, on-line help, and advanced settings. Mouse commands controlled with a finger or head movement or eye blink include left, right, and middle button click; single click; double click; and, drag and drop.QualiSet for QualiEye (included) enables users to personalize and save settings and configurations. The program is designed to allow multiple users access a single computer and save configurations. The software, on-line help, and the user manual are available in English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. QualiEye Lite provides pointing device access only. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible computers.   2. QUALIKEY Picture of QUALIKEY

    QualiKey is an on-screen keyboard program designed for use by individuals with severe physical or upper extremity disabilities or spinal cord injury. This virtual keyboard enables users to type data directly into Windows applications, run and close applications, manage tasks, manage the start menu and shut down the computer, check on-line help and more. This progran can be fully customized to maximize and speed up the user's ability to input commands and text. QualiSet for QualiKey (included) enables users to personalize and save settings and configurations. The program is designed to allow multiple users access a single computer and save configurations. A layout designer enables the user to create, modify, and personalize the keyboard; the user can create as many layouts as needed and they can be loaded as needed or associated with a specific application. Clicking an icon enables the user to switch layouts. The program also offers word prediction with a 20,000 word dictionary in any of the six languages offered. New words are automatically added to the dictionary and a vocabulary editor enables users to add, delete, or modify words. Predicted words can be presented in order of frequency, recent use, or alphabetically. Other features include a sound manager that applies different sounds to keys or types of keys for audible feedback and a repeat key manager that defines the way the repetition of a key is handled when a key is pressed for an extended period. This on-screen keyboard can be accessed using a pointing device such as a mouse, a touch screen, or QualiEye (not included; see entry); auto scanning; manual scanning with one or two switches; or auto click which is generated by the software after the cursor is held in a fixed position.   3. QUALIMAIL

    QualiMail is an electronic mail program designed for use by individuals with severe physical or upper extremity disabilities, or spinal cord injury. The user can set up a personal E-mail address and configure and name folders (Inbox, Outbox, Trash, etc.). Addresses can be stored in an address book and can be added, deleted, modified, and printed. The program can be used on- or off-line to enable E-mail management without having to be connected to a phone line full time. E-mail can be edited, modified, printed, deleted, copied, or moved to specific folders. Using QualiSpeak (see entry), E-mail can be read aloud. QualiSet for QualiMail (included) enables users to set up an E-mail address and personalize and save settings and configurations in a choice of languages for multiple users.   4. QUALIPHONE

    QualiPhone is a computer controlled telephone designed for use by individuals with severe physical, communication, or upper extremity disabilities, or spinal cord injury. This program has the capability to handle complex conversations, including questions and answers. It also offers specialized phone features and the capability to receive calls. Used in conjunction with QualiSpeak (see entry), the program enables the user to dial the desired number. The user composes one or more messages and enters the phone number using QualiKey (see entry) or by selecting it from the personal phone book. The program dials the desired number and reads the prepared message through the telephone. The recipient's reply is broadcast over the computer speakers, or for those who are deaf or hard of hearing, written to the computer monitor using QualiDict (see entry). The user can compose an immediate reply or start the next message for the software to read, enabling a live, two-way conversation. Users without speech disabilities can speak directly to the other party through the computer's microphone. Phone numbers also can be composed and calls activated by voice command. The user can save, add, edit, or cancel phone numbers from the personal address book. The system can also make Internet phone calls. QualiSet for Qualiphone (included) enables users to customize and save settings for the program. Configurations can be saved for multiple users in a choice of languages. The system also includes software interfaces for USB, PCI, and internal analog modems with voice features. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible computers.   5. QUALISURF

    QualiSurf is a voice input and output web browser designed for use by individuals with severe physical or upper extremity disabilities, spinal cord injury, or vision disabilities. This browser enables users to surf the Web without a keyboard or mouse. The silent surfing option enables Web surfing without interference from questions about plug-ins, upgrades, etc., which are prevented from appearing. The program is accessed using QualiMouse features (radar mouse, XY mouse, direction mouse, or auto scan). Features include automatic detection and highlighting of Web links when auto scan is enabled, text entry using the QualiKey (see also separate entry) virtual keyboard which appears when a text entry field is highlighted, automatic detection of the type of input entry box, new Internet addresses automatically entered in a list of visited Web sites, and the capability to read text aloud. Browsing can also be managed by voice command for hands-free bowsing. Functions include back and forward navigation between pages, stop downloading, refresh, home (return to site main page), print, links (activate auto scan), favorites (save to favorites folder), and speak (start automatic spoken page reading). QualiSet for QualiSurf (included) enables users to personalize and save settings and configurations in a choice of languages for multiple users..   6. QUALIWORD

    QualiWord is a word processor program designed for use by individuals with severe physical or upper extremity disabilities or spinal cord injury. This program can be used in conjunction with QualiKey (not included; see entry) and enables users to open new or documents, create documents, and modify, save, print, and delete documents. Users can also create, delete, and modify personal folders to organize documents. Documents can also be faxed directly from the program or sent to mobile phones using the included short message system (SMS). An account with 1,000 free short messages comes with the program. When the speak function is activated, documents are read aloud using QualiSpeak (see entry). Using QualiDict (see entry), documents can be dictated. Documents are also compatible with other QualiWorld applicatios, including QualiPhone and QualiMail (see entries).     QualiWorld Basic is a software platform including mouse emulator programs, a computer configuration utility, and a single switch keyboard modification program designed for use by individuals with severe physical disabilities, spinal cord injury, or upper extremity disabilities. The software platform includes QualiSet, QualiEye (see entry), Radar Mouse, XY Mouse, Sirectional Mouse, AutoScan, ManualScan, and AutoClick. The package is multilingual (English, Spanish, German, French, and Italian) and enables multiple users to access a single personal computer. The system is designed toi be compatible with other programs and applications and can be controlled by most switches and control units designed to replace the mouse and the mouse click. QualiSet enables the user(s) to configure and personalize QualiWorld applications and features and save the personalization. Personalization enables the user to select the input device or mouse to be used and features such as speed of movement, AutoScan, XY Mouse, Radar Mouse, Directional Mouse, and preferred method of clicking.COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible computers.
