    AVC Advantage is a voice output voting machine designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. This electronic voting system has a full ballot display with audio voting and smart card activation. A large candidate area on the ballot display accommodates large type. A tactile voting switch and visual indicator confirm that a voting selection has been made. The voting machine is wheelchair accessible. The machine supports up to 2,000 ballot styles with 504 ballot positions. POWER: Uses 110 volts alternating current (AC) with built-in backup battery capacity of over 16 hours. DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): In storage position, the unit is 39.3 x 24.5 x 46.5 inches; in voting position, the unit is 75.3 x 55 x 46.5 inches. WEIGHT: 225 to 265 pounds.

  2. AVC EDGE Picture of AVC EDGE

    AVC Edge is a voice output voting machine designed for use by voters who are blind or have low vision. Its audio ballot capability helps voters with vision disabilities cast a secret ballot. It has a large high resolution color screen which is adjustable to serve voters of varying heights and physical abilities. The machine accommodates bilingual and multilingual ballots with up to 12 languages in up to 2,000 ballot styles, with a maximum ballot size of 500 pages with 1,000 contests/races/proposals and 10,000 candidates. The system uses proprietary firmware on a closed system to prevent hacker access. Ballots are securely stored on multiple forms of memory, and can be printed for hand recounts. The voting booth is self-contained. POWER: Uses 100 to 240 volts alternating current (AC) or sealed lead-acid battery with 3 to 8 hour operating life. DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): 10 x 17 x 26 inches when stored or transported; 28 x 28 x 60 inches when open for voting. The viewable area of the screen is 117.5 square inches. WEIGHT: 38 to 40 pounds.
