When power is applied, the unit moves the drapes from their current position to one limit position. When power is removed and reapplied it reverses direction and moves the drapes to the opposite limit. Removing power at any intermediate point causes the drapes to stop. The unit is installed by hanging at the bottom of the U-loop of the drape pull cord. No cutting of the pull cord is required.
