  1. 15 NUMBERS

15 Numbers is an educational math puzzle game program designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. This game is completely self-voicing, so a separate screen reader program is not necessary. The player has 15 numbers, 1 through 15, on two game boards called the task board and the work board. The task board shows the 15 numbers arranged in a specific pattern that the player must match using the work board. The work board has the same 15 numbers mixed up with one empty slot, and the player must use the one empty slot to shuffle the numbers around to match the exact numeric pattern on the task board. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and ompatible computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Windows 95 or higher operating system; Microsoft DirectX.

  2. CRAZY DARTS

Crazy Darts is an audible video game program designed for use by players who are blind or have low vision. The player hears a dart panning at a random speed from left to right or from right to left, and uses the spacebar to shoot the dart. The closer the dart is to the center when the player shoots at it, the more points the player gets. When the player shoots a total of ten darts, the player is told his or her score and asked if he or she would like to play again. The maximum attainable score is 134,560. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Windows 95 or higher operating system; Microsoft DirectX version 8.0 or higher.

  3. HUNTER

Hunter is a voice output game program designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. This arcade-style game involves adventure role-playing. The player's character, Hunter Joe, has a mission to reach the ancient land of Bobo and obtain the ancient Bobo tribal statue. On the way to Bobo, the player scores points on 10 levels and fights through the jungle, fishes for food, crosses the valley of tigers, climbs a treacherous mountain, discovers hidden treasure, swings across a waterfall, and flees the ancient warrior Marpoo. The game can be played using the keyboard or a joystick. A configuration program allows the player to remap the joystick buttons. Each level of play has its own set of stereo sound effects. Players can select from three levels of difficulty and play the 10 levels in any sequence. This game program is completely self-voicing, so it can be played without a separate screen reader program. It comes with a Hunter story file and a documentation file. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Windows 98 or higher operating system; Microsoft DirectX 8.0 or higher; Microsoft Media Components installed prior to installation of the game.

  4. PIPE

Pipe is a voice output game program designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. In this game, the player has a hammer and a toolbox full of pipes, and must fix the underlying leaky pipe structures in three world cities. Each city has twelve regular levels plus two bonus levels. As the sound of approaching water gets louder, the player must fix the pipes before the water spills out. On some levels the player must fit eight pipes while on other levels more than 14 pipes must be fitted. The toolbox has three to seven pipes to select from. On each level more pipes are added to the toolbox, and the water drips faster. The player must fight off bats, dogs, bees, and other surprises along the way. In the bonus round, the player finds the match for a dropping sound among six choices. This game program is completely self-voicing, so it can be played without a separate screen reader program. It comes with a documentation file. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Windows 98 or higher operating system; Microsoft DirectX 8.0 or higher; Microsoft Media Components installed prior to game program installation.

The longer the player lasts, the more points he or she gets for matching sounds. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Windows 95 or higher operating system; Microsoft DirectX version 8.0 or higher.

  6. TROOPANUM 2.0

Troopanum 2.0 is a voice output game program designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. This is an arcade-style game similar to video games such as Space Invaders and Missile Command. The player defends a starbase from the evil space commander, Lord Vector, and his bomber ships, fleet ships, lunar lifters, pods, moon rocks, and Gorbian ships. The player shoots through 16 levels of play and two bonus levels, scoring as many points as possible while protecting the starbase and picking up special items along the way like smart bombs, ground nukes, portals, and moon rock shields. Each level has its own set of stereo sound effects and accompanying techno music. On level 16, the player shoots it out with Lord Vector himself. Players can select from six missions, three difficulty levels, and two ship speeds. The game can be played using the keyboard, a joystick, or a gamepad. A utility program allows the player to remap joystick or gamepad buttons. This game is completely self-voicing, so it can be played without a separate screen reader program. Each volume has two games: Word Blast and Word Jitter in Volume 1, and Word Battle and Word Replica in Volume 2. In Word Blast, the player is presented with a word from a 100,000-word list, and asked to find a new word using only the letters of the original word. As the game continues, the player is given less time to solve the puzzle. In Word Jitter the player is given a scrambled word from a 22,000-word list and asked to unscramble it within a time limit. In Word Battle, the player and the computer each choose a word, then each tries to guess the other's word by exchanging one letter at a time. In Word Replica the player scores points by matching words on a hidden list, taking as little time (and making as few mistakes) as possible. Word Battle and Word Replica come with over 100,000 words in their databases. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible computers.
