The bench extends over the side of the tub, allowing the individual to sit and slide into the tub without having to step over the side. The bench has an anodized aluminum frame with a hard plastic seat and back. It adjusts to left- or right-side tub entry by placing the back on either side. Handled sponge made of a strip of 1/2 by 1/8 inch aluminum of whatever length is needed, two pieces of 3/8 by 1 by 4 inch wood for a handle, and a sponge (2 by 3 by 5 inches). The wood is grooved to fit the strip, and glued on; the sponge is cut in half and glued together over the other end of the strip, which can be bent to suit individual needs.
