  1. FORTE Picture of FORTE

    The Forte is a word processor designed for use by individuals with learning disabilities. The Forte has a QWERTY keyboard and an LCD display. This portable device is available in various packages. The Forte Basic Package includes a Forte keyboard and the basic software package which features flash drive compatibility, wireless fire transfer, abbreviation expansion, sticky keys, spell-check disable, a dictionary, cut/copy/paste functions, scoring program, and formatted file transfer. The premium software package includes the following features in addition to the basic software package features: WordStorm word prediction, Forte Calendar, Spell It!, Math 101, Perfect Form keyboard instruction, split screen, adjustable font size, a thesaurus, spell check, and writing prompts. The Forte Speaker Package includes a Forte keyboard with text to speech and built-in speaker, headphones, and premium software package. The Forte Text to Speech Package includes a Forte keyboard with text to speech, headphones, and premium software package. The Forte Word Prediction Package includes a Forte keyboard with word prediction and premium software package. Every package comes with a USB file transfer cable and an alternating current (AC) adapter. OPTIONS: Wireless infrared receiver and Forte deluxe padded case.

  2. FUSION PORTABLE KEYBOARD Picture of FUSION PORTABLE KEYBOARD

    The Fusion Portable Keyboard is a word processor designed for use by individuals with learning disabilities. Features include a large liquid crystal display (LCD) with adjustable font sizes, Math 101 math facts practice, and a wide variety of other writing supports. Functions that students use most frequently like the thesaurus, font size adjustment, and word prediction have dedicated keys for one-button access. All other options, like cut and paste, disabling spell check, or adjustments to word prediction settings, are found in the menu. Other features include thesaurus, dictionary, spell check, an instant writing score called iScore, cut/copy/paste, USB ports for file transfer, a split screen vocabulary program, keyboard instruction, writing prompts, automatic headings and automatic Writing checklists on all printouts, 16 password protected student work spaces so different students can use the same unit, with storage of named files and folders in each student's work space. POWER: Uses battery. An optional alternating current (AC) adapter is available. OPTIONS: Infrared receiver for wireless file transfer; text-to-speech and built-in speaker; word prediction; padded case; compact flash with reader/writer; and a USB thumbdrive.

  3. WRITER Picture of WRITER

    The Writer is a word processor designed for use by individuals with learning disabilities. The unit comes with a preinstalled Student Performance Package with features and options that help students to become better writers, organize their work, expand their vocabulary, develop revision skills, and express themselves more clearly and accurately. Features include creative writing prompts; a dated journal file for daily writing; a spell check that helps students to develop their spelling skills; automatically formatted printouts including a heading with student name, teacher name, file name and date; a rubric automatically attached to each file to prompt students to edit and revise their own work; a work folder filing system to help students get organized; a thesaurus; an IScore scoring program to provide students with immediate grade level feedback; automatic writing tips; Spell It!, a spelling and vocabulary development program with six spelling activities for any list of words; a Spanish to English dictionary; the ability to send files through wireless infrared links to any application on a Macibntosh or personal computer (PC); a keyboard instruction program; and WriterLink file transfer program to share files between units. OPTIONS: Word prediction; infrared receiver; case; PowerHub to connect a PC to up to 32 word processor units. WARRANTY: 5-year warranty.
