Based on real-life scenarios, students are given the opportunity to explore how they might react in a variety of situations. A computer story uses digital photos to reinforce the concepts.

Students learn about their senses through the activity of making Kool Aid. A sensory bag and BINGO game challenge students to use their senses to describe a variety of items through touch, sound, smell, and sight. The computer story uses simple animations to expand language concepts.

Students learn the function and location in the body of each part. The worksheets provide opportunity for independent practice. The computer story includes Fun Facts (for example, Do you know how long your intestines are?)

    The Recipe Card Stand, model PVC-R, is an index card holder and job aid designed for use by individuals with cognitive or communication disabilities. This stand holds 5 x 8-inch hole-punched index cards, such as recipe cards or cards printed with steps in a sequencing task. Students or workers can complete the instructions on the first card, then flip it to the back, revealing the next step in the sequence. This encourages participation and increases independence in a variety of situations, such as cooking, crafts, and job activities.

    The Songboard and Book Easel, model PVC-SB, is an easel and book holder designed for use by individuals with grasping, upper extremity, ormobility disabilities. This collapsible easel is lightweight and portable. The top part of the easel holds a standard songboard, which is attached to the easel with Velcro. Brackets extend from the middle section of the songboard, providing a place to display a standard-size book or 3-ring binder. In classroom use, this gives the instructor two free hands to assist students, manipulate objects or picture cues, etc. The songboard easel may also be assembled without the book rest brackets and tall legs, enabling use on a tabletop. The height of both displays works well with young children and individuals in wheelchairs. DIMENSIONS: Songboard is 22 x 22 inches.

    The Switch Stand, model PVC-S, is a switch holder designed for use by children or adults with neurological or upper extremity disabilities.
