  1. EXPRESSIONIST Picture of EXPRESSIONIST

    Expressionist is a voice output direct selection and symbolic communicator program designed for use by individuals with communication, cognitive, developmental, learning or speech disabilities, or autism. This program enables an Apple iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad to function as an alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) system for people who cannot speak or have difficulty speaking. Expressionist comes with more than cartoon illustrations for 1,000 commonly used nouns and over 120 commonly used expressions. The expressions are organized into seven categories: common phrases/greetings; feelings/emotions; senses; health/well-being; actions/activities; requests; and questions. The illustrations are designed to meet the needs of visual learners so that no additional symbols or encoding is needed. All of the program's nouns and expressions feature natural voice audio output. The program uses the composite picture approach to illustrate either an expression or a concept, and change of visual physical states to illustrate action concept directly. COMPATIBILITY: For use with the Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Apple iOS 3.0 or later.

    HaloTalk is a communicator program and prompter designed for use by individuals with communication cognitive, learning or speech disabilities or autism. This program enables an Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad to function as an alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) system for people who cannot speak or have difficulty speaking. The program comes with over 50 pairs of responses commonly used daily. Each pre-defined response/adjective is natural voice-enabled, with visual cues to help the user to pick an item. HaloTalk is also designed to facilitate prompting and can be used as a set of searchable, voice-enabled, opposite flashcards. COMPATIBILITY: For use with the Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad.
