    Picture Planner is a prompter and cognitive aid for use by individuals with cognitive, learning, developmental or communication disabilities or autism. This digital visual calendaring system allows users to create visual calendars and sync them to mobile devices, print them out, or share them with family, friends, teachers, and caregivers via Google Calendar. Picture Planner employs a simple task analysis to guide users through the steps of effective activity planning, and it provides pop-up reminders when activities are due. Each activity or task can be associated with an image, and it can include additional text to speech information. Activities can be organized into simple categories such as "What are you doing?", "With Who?", "Where?", "How will you get there?", "How much money do you need?", "What to Bring?", and "What Clothes to Wear?" The user can scroll through step-by-step elements of each activity. Picture Planner also features built-in tracking so caregivers and teachers can document its use for reporting purposes. For syncing calendars with the Apple iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, users must use Pocket Picture Planner or Pocket Picture Planner HD (see separate entries). COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM-compatible or Apple Macintosh computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Requires Windows XP, Vista, 7 or 8 or Mac OS 10.x or greater. For Windows, requires 256 megabytes (MB) of memory (512 MB recommended for XP and 7 and 8; 1 gigabyte (GB) recommended for Vista); 500 MB of free hard disk space. For Mac, 256 MB of memory (512 MB recommended); 500 MB of free hard disk space. QuickTime 3.0 is required to be installed.

    Pocket Picture Planner is a prompter and cognitive aid for use by individuals with cognitive, learning, developmental or communication disabilities or autism. This application (or app) enables an Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad to function as prompter that will remind a person of the daily events and tasks and provide detailed information and instructions for tasks. It is intended to be used in conjunction with Picture Planner software (see separate entry) running on a Window or Mac computer. Users create visual calendars on the computer in Picture Planner, and sync the calendars with all associate visual and audio media files to the mobile device. Pocket Picture Planner provides pop-up reminders when activities are due. Activities can be organized into simple categories such as "What are you doing?", "With Who?", "Where?", "How will you get there?", "How much money do you need?", "What to Bring?", and "What Clothes to Wear?"
