FIRST THEN VISUAL SCHEDULE
First Then Visual Schedule is a cognitive aid and prompter designed for use by individuals with cognitive or communication disabilities or autism. This application (or app) for the Apple iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad enables caregivers to customize and present visual schedules and choice prompts to guide a person through daily events (such as a morning routine or therapy schedule) or through steps to complete a specific activity. Each schedule consists of images arranged in a specific order. Each image is intended to prompt the user to complete a specific activity. Audio clips can be associated with each image. Personal photos (created with the device's camera or downloaded from the Internet) can be used for the schedules, and photos are available from the app's stock image library. The caregiver or user can record his/her own voice and associate it with any image. First Then Visual Schedule allows the user to create as many schedules as needed and to change the order of schedules. The app also allows the user to add as many images as needed to create the steps necessary to complete a task within a saved schedule. Three different formats are available for use in each schedule: (1) For the "Full screen" format, a large image appears on the screen and the user accesses next image on the schedule by swiping the screen to the left; (2) when using the "First-Then screen" format, two images appear side by side with an arrow (left to right or top to bottom) between images to guide the sequence of the activity and each image has its own caption underneath; and (3) in the "List Screen" format, images are listed in a list format where four images are placed on a schedule. COMPATIBILITY: For use with the Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Apple iOS 3.2 or later.

MY CHOICE BOARD
My Choice Board is a direct selection communicator and voice output program designed for use by individuals with communication, learning, or speech disabilities or autism. This application (or app) enables an Apple iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch to function as an alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) system for people who cannot speak or have difficulty speaking. The user or a parent, caregiver or teacher selects images (from the device’s library or online), displays them on the choice board, touches the preferred choice, and the preferred selection is displayed in the “I want” strip at the top of the screen. The user can enlarge the image to full screen by touching the image again and prerecorded message will play if the user recorded sound to the image. The program also allows the user to save multiple choice boards for future use. Choice boards can be themed to display personal preferences such as sensory choices, playtime or activity choices, and restaurant or food choices. More than six images can be added to a choice board and choices can be edited to be shown as “unavailable” with a red circle and a slash over the image. COMPATIBILITY: For use with the Apple iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Apple iOS 3.1.2 or later.

SCENE SPEAK
Scene Speak is a direct selection communicator program and voice output program designed for use by individuals with communication, learning, or speech disabilities or autism. This application (or app) enables an Apple iPad to function as an alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) system for people who cannot speak or have difficulty speaking. Images can be uploaded into the program from the user’s home computer or through an online image search, then cropped/resized and active “sound areas” can be added. The number and size of the “sound areas” can be customized and spoken messages can be added to the “sound areas” by using the Text-To-Speech feature with one of five preloaded voices. The user also can record their own voice to the “sound areas.” When multiple visual scenes are created with active sound areas, related scenes can be added into “books.” Books can be created and images grouped into the book by theme or area of interest. Multiple books can be created within the apps book library and as many visual scenes as needed added into the “book.” Scenes include kitchen, bedroom, child’s bedroom, living room, bathroom, park or doctor’s office. For example, a book titled “My Home” can include images of different rooms in the home and sound areas can be added to the images to label different objects or people. A bedroom scene may say “go to bed” when the bed is touched or “read a book” when a bookcase is touched. COMPATIBILITY: For use with the Apple iPad. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Apple iOS 3.2 or later.
