IWRITEWORDS
iWriteWords is a math tutorial program and a writing skills training program designed for use by parents or teachers working with children with learning, upper extremity or fine motor disabilities or autism. This application (or app) allows a parent or teacher to use an Apple iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch to teach a child handwriting while playing a game. The child collects the numbers in sequence by dragging with his or her fingers and drawing the letter at the same time. A drawing featuring the child's own handwriting appears on the screen when all the letters in the words are drawn properly, and the child advances to the next level when he finishes sliding the letters into the rotating hole. iWriteWords features 70 words/levels of uppercase letters, 70 words/levels of lowercase letters, 20 levels of numbers, 26 levels (A to Z) of individual letter tracing for uppercase letters, and 26 levels (a to z) of individual letter tracing for lowercase letters. Other features include new voiceover and option for UK voice; option for navigating the alphabet; option for other handwriting styles; option for easy, normal and hard levels of difficulty; option for turning off uppercase words; option for turning off encouragement sound; and option for not saving game progress.
