1. BOTTOMS UP BAR

   The Bottoms Up Bar is a transfer aid designed for people with lower extremity and mobility disabilities or spinal cord injury and lower extremity amputees. It allows a person in a wheelchair to transfer to a seated position on the ground or floor and from the floor or ground back into the wheelchair. The Bottoms Up Bar attaches to a wheelchair's frame with two collar clamps that are fastened to the front of the frame. The width of the Bottoms Up Bar is adjustable to accommodate multiple wheelchair sizes. The Bar's frame offers two sets of hand grips, upper and lower, on each side. and it has a cloth seat that is mounted between the side bars using Velcro attachments. When the user is seated in the wheelchair, he or she lifts each leg to extend over the Bar's seat, leans forward to grab the upper hand grips, and then slides forward onto the Bottoms Up Bar seat. The user then grabs the lower hand grips and slides forward onto the ground. The user can move from a sitting position on the ground to a wheelchair by reversing this process. The Bottoms Up Bar can be used without attachment to a wheelchair when mounted on the Bottoms Up Bar Adjustable Base Unit (see separate entry).    The Bottoms Up Bar Adjustable Base Unit is a transfer aid designed for people with lower extremity and mobility disabilities or spinal cord injury and lower extremity amputees. It allows a person to use the Bottoms Up Bar (see separate record) transfer from a parked wheelchair or a chair, sofa or other sitting furniture to a seated position on the ground or floor and from the floor or ground back into the chair. The four legs of the Bottoms Up Bar are placed into holes in the Base Unit's frame to allow the Bar to stand independently and remain stable while in use. DIMENSIONS (LxW): 23 x (22 to 34) inches. 3. MUSICAL TWISTER (MODEL 3285)

   The Musical Twister, model 3285, is a switch operated toy designed for use by children with severe physical or upper extremity disabilities. When a connected capability switch (not included) is activated, children watch a cylinder containing water with multi-colored glitter start to twirl while music plays . This toy is intended to improve visual attention and listening skills. It comes with two different choices for switch activation - on/off or momentary pause. POWER: Uses 6 C batteries.
