  1. ROCHAIR Picture of ROCHAIR

    The RoChair is a lever drive wheelchair designed for use by individuals with lower extremity or mobility disabilities or spinal cord injury. It combines rowing-style propulsion with bicycle-style steering. To propel the chair, the user pushes forward and pulls back in a rowing motion on the front-and-center mounted handlebar. To steer, the user turns the handlebar in the desired direction. The RoChair features 8-speed hub gear with grip shift and internal gearing and it has a low center of gravity.The chair turns in its own radius. Power is applied to the rear wheel with the greatest traction. Wheels turn independently when turning. Integrated powertrain drive-shaft delivers power from propulsion lever to front wheels, and a transverse mounted hub is directly linked to drive-shaft. FRAME: Precision machined aluminum frame and fittings with smooth welding. It has independent rear-wheel suspension and a removeable anti-tip wheel mounted to footrest. SEAT (WxD): 18 x 18 inches. Seat back is 16 x 16 inches (WxH). Adjustable seat back and base with high-density foam. Seat can be folded down and removed for transport. Seat back is adjusted using armrest. An optional carrying bag can be attached to the back of the seat. ARMRESTS: Quick-release swing up armrests Retract and stow for transport. BRAKES: 6-inch rear-wheel disc brakes and independent left/right hub-lock parking brakes. A slide pin is used to positively engage the disc brakes, or the rider can brake by pulling back all the way on the handlebar. WHEELS: 20-inch rear wheels (cambered at 10 degrees) and 12-inch front wheels; quick-release hubs; pushrims for shunts and spins. FOOTRESTS: Adjustable footrest.

    The RoTrike is a hand-operated adult tricycle designed for use by individuals with lower extremity or mobility disabilities or spinal cord injury. This cycle is propelled by pushing and pulling in a rowing motion on the front-and-center mounted handlebar. The cycle is steered by turning the handlebar in the desired direction like a bicycle, and it is braked by pulling back all the way on the handlebar. FRAME (HxLxW): 34 x 52 x 27 inches. The frame is made of smooth welded, precision machined aluminum. It has an 8-speed internal hub gear with grip shift for switching gears; power train drive shaft with fully encapsulated components delivers power from propulsion lever to rear wheels; propulsion lever built to custom length; anti-roll back transmission for climbing inclines; 36-inch turning radius; cable steering; power train clutch; speeds up to 1 mph on a level surface; low center of gravity for rider safety. The frame has integrated mounts for custom accessories, and a manual is included. OPTIONS: Cargo tray. SEAT (WxD): 19 x 16 inches. The seat back is 16 inches wide and 16 inches high. The seat has a high density foam core and washable covers. Adjustable seat base position and seat back angle. Seat can be folded down and removed for transport. A seatbelt is included. ARMRESTS: Quick-release swing up armrests. BRAKES: 6-inch rear disc brakes with anti roll-back. WHEELS: 16 inch diameter front wheel with quick release hub; 20 inch diameter rear wheels located under the seat with 10 degrees of camber, push-rims, and quick release hubs. FOOTRESTS: Stowable, height and angle adjustable foot stirrups with high and low mounting positions. The stirrups are 5 inches wide and adjust in height from 6 to 8 inches.
