(Verified 03/2013) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. ---Telemergency Alert is an emergency alert system designed for use by seniors or individuals with balance disabilities or other disabilities who are at risk for medical emergencies. The system includes a base unit that connects to an existing telephone line and a transmitter that is carried in the user's pocket or worn around the neck. The transmitter is connected by wireless remote to the base unit. In case of an emergency, the user touches a single button on the transmitter or the base unit and the unit calls 911 and up to five additional phone numbers. The unit automatically tells where the caller is, and a speakerphone feature allows all called parties to listen in and speak with the caller. The transmitter and base unit have large raised buttons. POWER: Uses 9-volt battery for backup.
