Picture of ACHIEVEMENT WEIGHTED POCKET BLANKET The Achievement Weighted Pocket Blanket is a soft weighted blanket designed for use with children with neurological or physical disabilities. This blanket is designed to provide proprioceptive feedback to children with sensory integrative dysfunction. The all over sensory input has a relaxing and calming effect. The amount of weight used can be varied based on the user's needs, from no or little weight to the optimal amount. Weight strips slide in and out of the long narrow pockets on the blanket and the pockets close with hook-and-loop closure. A hidden hook-and-loop strip is sewn on each blanket to allow two blankets to be put together. Constructed of flame retardant material, this blanket is machine washable after weight strips are removed. Each blanket comes complete with a set of one pound weight strips. SIZES: Small (includes three weight strips) or large (includes six weight strips). DIMENSIONS: The small blanket is 2 x 4 feet and the large blanket is 2 x 6 feet.
