Picture of ACHIEVEMENT WEIGHTED CRITTERS The Achievement Weighted Critters are weighted shapes designed for use by children with sensory integration disabilities or attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder. The weighted animal shapes are placed on the child’s lap or wrapped around the shoulders and serve as a reminder for the child to remain still and focus on the task at hand. They also provides pressure touch and proprioceptive input around the neck and shoulders. Weights are constructed from lead-free steel shot encased in a stain-resistant, flame-retardant brushed nylon material. Four latex-free animal shapes are available, including a whale, a butterfly, a dinosaur, and a caterpillar. DIMENSIONS (WxLxD): The whale is 6 x 25 x 1 inch. The dinosaur is 10 x 25 x 1 inch. The butterfly is 8 x 24 x 1 inch. The caterpillar is 6 x 20 x 1 inch. WEIGHT: The whale and the dinosaur weigh 2.5 pounds. The caterpillar and the butterfly weigh 2 pounds.
