ASSISTED EXERCISE KIT
The Assisted Exercise Kit is an exercise planning program designed for use by physical therapists who work with aides, caregivers, or family members of individuals with stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, severe physical disabilities, fractures and other orthopedic conditions, multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Guillain Barre syndrome, brain tumor, cancer, tendinitis, or developmental disorders. This kit is available either as a set of reproducible cards or as a computer exercise database for use with PC-Kits software (not included). The computer version includes English and Spanish captions. The therapist uses the cards or database to design an exercise program and to show the caregiver how to perform each exercise with the patient. Each instruction clearly demonstrates the position of the patient and the movements to be performed by the caregiver. The kit includes 238 professionally illustrated cards, with instructions for exercising the shoulder, wrist, trunk, hip, ankle and foot, scapula, elbow, thumb, cervical spine, knee, and finger. General instructions are also included.
