Picture of EYETECH SPEECH GENERATING DEVICE The EyeTech Speech Generating Device is a direct selection, scanning, keyboard, and eye-controlled communicator designed for use by individuals with communication or speech disabilities or neurological disabilities such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). This dedicated speech generating device has Viking communication software for synthesized speech output, with multiple methods for selecting messages. Messages can be selected on a touch screen using a finger or stylus, or with a switch via scanning. Messages can be formed through spelling and on a variety of phrase and symbol keyboards. The EyeTech TM3 (not included; see entry), formerly known as Quick Glance 3SH, enables users to control all functions of the unit through eye movement. OPTIONS: EyeTech TM3 eye control unit; touch screen; Buddy Button (see separate entry) for switch input.
