Picture of SHABBAT MODULE The Shabbat Module is a scooter controller that can be added to the Amigo RT Express, Amigo RD and Amigo HD scooters (see separate entries). It is designed for use by Orthodox Jews with mobility disabilities. The Shabbat Module is halachically-approved and certified by a representative of the Zomet Institute-Israel. It is designed to allow individual participation in full observance of the Sabbath. After the module is installed, the scooter user can activate the Shabbat mode using a toggle switch. In the Shabbat mode, the Shabbat Module initiates very slow movement of the Amigo scooter after 7-11 seconds using a timing circuit. There is no throttle lever activation required by the driver, so it is, therefore, considered an "indirect" action. When the scooter user is in Shabbat mode, the lever can be pulled to go faster because the module has already activated the motor relay circuit (another "indirect" action.) To go in reverse, a directional rocker switch is pushed causing the Shabbat Amigo to go through its timing cycle again before changing the motor relay. COMPATIBILITY: Amigo RT Express, Amigo RD and Amigo HD scooters.
