Picture of AMIGO SMARTMOVER & SMARTMOVER XL The Amigo SmartMover and SmartMover XL are three-wheel scooters designed for use by visitors and employees in hospitals, museums, libraries, universities and other public spaces with lower extremity, mobility, neurological, or physical disabilities, obesity, or spinal cord injury. FRAME (HxLxW): 37 (30.5 at top of basket) x 49 (53 for SmartMover XL) x 24 inches. The steel frame features a black platform and tiller. A rear safety bumper and front and rear stability devices are standard. The turning radius is 38 inches at the front wheel and 44 inches at the basket corner. A wire-frame basket is available in three sizes (capacities): trimline (1600 cubic inches), mid-size (2611 cubic inches) and large (6200 cubic inches). A locked basket with cover also is available. CONTROLS: ASIC microprocessor electronic controller, protected throttle operation, and an on/off switch are standard. RWD: Sealed transaxle rear-wheel drive. SEAT: Commercial-grade rubber seat. ARMRESTS: Flip-up/adjustable removable armrests are optional. BRAKES: Dynamic and regenerative braking with automatic parking brake and manual release. WHEELS: One 6-inch solid tire in the front and two 8-inch solid tires in the rear. POWER: Uses 2 33/35-ampere, airline-safe sealed batteries. An onboard battery charger (3 amperes, 24 volts) with an 8-foot retractable cord, overcharge protection, drive-off charging protection, and battery LED (light emitting diode) indicator are standard. SPEEDS: Forward speed 2.3 miles per hour (mph); reverse speed 1.7 mph. A single charge will last 40 miles. CAPACITY: 525 pounds (500 pounds for operator, 25 pounds for basket). WEIGHT: 186 pounds with battery. WARRANTY: Limited lifetime warranty.
