STICKYBEAR MONEY
Stickybear Money is a money management tutorial program designed to teach the concept of money to children from kindergarten through third grade who have developmental or learning disabilities. Children learn how to recognize U.S. coins and paper money as they hear and see how different denominations of money can be used to buy and sell. The program features different levels of activities for teachers to introduce from single coins with simple counting activities up to higher-level activities with all denominations. Users can choose among six activities in structured and unstructured modes. The Money in the Bank activity shows how money accumulates. The Head or Tails activity introduces each coin and demonstrates the process of counting money. The Counting Money activity illustrates counting. The Spending Money activity shows money from counting to making change. The Adding Money activity expands the concept of counting with simple addition and subtraction examples. The All About Money activity presents interesting facts. The school versions and above also come with freely reproducible lesson plans and manipulative masters.
