Picture of WHEEL, THE The Wheel is a hand propelled cart designed for use by children with lower extremity disabilities, mobility disabilities, or spinal cord injury. This hand-propelled low mobility unit provides independence for the child who lacks use of lower extremities but has arm and moderate torso strength. The cart has aluminum wheels with solid rubber tires. The child grips horizontal hand-holds on the wheels; a slight body tilt is applied to brake. The cart fits through doorways up to 30 inches in width, and accommodates leg lengths up to 30 inches. OPTIONS: Back support with pad and strap and a leg extension to accommodate legs up to 36.5 inches in length. CAPACITY: 150 pounds. DIMENSIONS (LxW): 24 x 28 inches. The seat is 15 inches wide and the wheels are 16 inches in diameter.
