--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 12/2007) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Talk Back 24 is a direct selection communicator designed for use by individuals with communication disabilities. It can speak any 24 messages recorded by the user. To play back a message, the user lightly presses one of the pictures on a window pad insert. The communicator comes with five window pad inserts, of which four have six large windows each, and one has 24 windows. Inserts are color coded for identification and slide into place under a protective vinyl top. Users can record messages up to 10 seconds long per window on each of the four inserts with six windows, or record up to 24 10-second messages on the 24-window insert. Total message time is a maximum of four minutes. In addition to the inserts, the communicator comes with 24 color dots to color-code pictures used in the 24-window insert; 528 removable pressure sensitive stickers from Talking Pictures I, II, and II (see separate entry); and a carrying bag with a handle and shoulder strap and pockets for storage of the communicator and inserts. POWER: Uses 9-volt battery. DIMENSIONS (LxWxH): 10 x 8 x 1 in the front and 2 inches in the back. Windows are 2 x 2 inches on 6-window inserts and 1 x 1 inch on 24-window insert. WEIGHT: 1.5 pounds.
