Picture of ADVENTURER (MODEL AS 2600) The Adventurer, model AS 2600, is a tricycle designed for use by adults with mobility, balance, or neurological disabilities. The cycle features a wide rear stance for added stability, a direct drive system that allows riders to pedal backwards to build momentum to go forward, and a step-on platform. The seat and upright handlebar height are adjustable, and the handlebar can be moved out of the way for dismounting. The seat is available in low- and high-back models. The cycle also features a seat belt and a crank and sprocket that can be adjusted to accommodate different hip and foot positions. Other features include two rear band brakes with controls that can be mounted on the handlebars or on the assistance handle for companion operation, Velcro straps on the pedals to hold feet securely in place, locking hand brakes, and quick release bolts for dismantling and transport. This cycle accommodates riders who are between 5'4 and 6 feet tall OPTIONS: Six speeds. DIMENSIONS: Model Aventurer AS 2600 is available with 20-inch wheels or 26-inch wheels. The rear stance is 36 inches wide. COLOR: A variety of powder-baked colors are available.
