(Verified 4/2013) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- QuickPage is a direct selection or scanning symbol communicator program designed to provide communication layouts for individuals with communication disabilities. This software consists of sets of pre-programmed symbol pages designed for use with the manufacturer's Talking Screen (sold separately; see entry). The user selects the symbol that represents activity to be discussed; the program then displays another page with more detailed symbols relating to that subject.This enables complete sentences to be created and spoken, simply by choosing symbols in the appropriate order. Three sets are available (sold separately). QuickPage Preschool focuses on 81 typical preschool activities, including puzzles, story time, arts and crafts, and more. QuickPage Elementary is a comprehensive set of more than 80 activity-based communication pagesfeaturing such daily activities as school, games, cooking, and personal needs. Users can create custom pages to reflect personal needs and personality. QuickPage Teen/Adult features a set of 63 pages focussing on daily life activities such as ordering food at restaurants, folding laundry, and assisting in an office. This set uses symbols to represent phrases and complete sentences. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Talking Screen is required.
