The Gentex 7109CS is a photoelectric single station smoke detector for use where audible and visual alarms are required. This model features a 90 decibel (db) solid state piezo signal and a strobe light with red "FIRE" lettering. The high intensity strobe is 177 candela rated and flashes 60 times per minute. Model 7109CS is designed for ceiling mounting and model 7109CSW is designed for wall mounting. Model 7109CS can be tandemly connected with up to five other detectors. POWER: Both models are designed to be hardwired to the building electrical system. Batery backup is provided for the audible signal only. OPTIONS: Audible only detector, 7100F, is available (see entry). It must be used with a remote strobe receiver. WARRANTY: One year.
