Picture of TELETALKER (MODEL 040) The Teletalker is a large button amplifier telephone designed for use by individuals who are hard of hearing. This phone enables the user to press a button to press a single button to activate amplification while providing a volume control for maximum comfort and clarity and comfort. When the handset is hung up, the unit automatically returns to normal operation, protecting others from unintended amplification. Other standard features include up to 55 decibels (dB) or high frequency gain, an amplification indicator that lights up when amplification is in use, a volume control which increases volume up to 25 dB, an enhance control which boosts high frequency speech sounds up to 30 dB, a flashing ring indicator, a 95 dB high output ringer with volume and tone, a redial button, large high-contrast buttons, dynamic signal processing to improve intelligibility, dynamic noise reduction to eliminate background line noise, and anti-feedback circuitry.
